This thesis is on the study of dynamic equations on time scale. Most often, the derivatives and anti-derivatives of functions are taken on the domain of real numbers, which cannot be used to solve some models like insect populations that are continuous while in season and then follow a difference scheme with variable step-size. They die out in winter, while the eggs are incubating or dormant; and then they hatch in a new season, giving rise to a non overlapping population. Chaotic Behavior In Monetary Systems: Comparison Among Different Types Of Taylor Rule, Reza Moosavi Mohseni Dr., Wenjun Zhang Dr., Jiling Cao Prof.

The aim of the present study is to detect the chaotic behavior in the monetary economic relevant dynamical system. The study employs three different forms of Taylor rules: current, forward and backward looking. The result suggests the existence of the chaotic behavior in all three systems. In addition, the results strongly represent that using expectations in policy rule especially rational expectation hypothesis can increase the complexity of the system and leads to more chaotic behavior.

In this paper, we consider the neighbouring extremals for a class of optimal control problems with control constraints. We first solve the optimal control problem using control parameterization method to obtain the optimal open-loop control and the optimal reference state. Then, a neighbouring feedback control law is derived for small state perturbations caused by changes on reference state at switching times.

we investigate the effects of non oil export on Iran’s economic growth using a computable general equilibrium (CGE) and study which tradable sectors has a larger share in reaching to targeted growth rate 8% in 5th socio economic development plan. We calibrate the model by GAMS (with emphasis on foreign trade sector). Numerical solution to the model is based on Iran’s social accounting matrix (SAM). Results show that 2.03% of targeted economic growth rate is achieved by encouraging a 6% growth in export. The concept of differential flatness has been widely used for nonlinear controller design. In this contribution, it is shown that flatness may also be a very useful property for parameter identification. An identification method based on flat inputs is introduced. The treatment of noisy measurements and the extension of the method to delay differential equations are discussed. The method is illustrated by two case studies: the well-known FitzHugh-Nagumo equations and a virus replication model with delays.

This paper points out that the so called enhanced variational iteration method (Colantoni & Boubaker, 2014) for a nonlinear equation arising in electrospinning and vibration-electrospinning process is the standard variational iteration method. An effective algorithm using the variational iteration algorithm-II is suggested for Bratu-like equation arising in electrospinning. A suitable choice of initial guess results in a relatively accurate solution by one or few iteration.

In this paper, we consider a novel dynamic optimization problem for nonlinear multistage systems with time-delays. Such systems evolve over multiple stages, with the dynamics in each stage depending on both the current state of the system and the state at delayed times. The optimization problem involves choosing the values of the time-delays, as well as the values of additional parameters that influence the system dynamics, to minimize a given cost functional. In this Open Forum, Liu et al. proved the equivalence between He-Lee 2009 variational principle and that by Tao and Chen (Tao, Z. L., Chen, G. H., Thermal Science, 17(2013), pp. 951-952) for one dimensional heat conduction. We confirm the correction of Liu et al.’s proof, and give a short remark on the history of the semi-inverse method for establishment of a generalized variational principle.

Fractional calculus is an important method for mathematics and engineering [1-24]. In this paper, we review the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Cauchy problem for the local fractional differential equation with fractal conditions \[ D^\alpha x\left( t \right)=f\left( {t,x\left( t \right)} \right),t\in \left[ {0,T} \right], x\left( {t_0 } \right)=x_0 , \] where $0<\alpha \le 1$ in a generalized Banach space. We use some new tools from Local Fractional Functional Analysis [25, 26] to obtain the results.

This article provides an analysis of processes for separation CO2 by using carbonic anhydrase enzyme with particular emphasis on reactive-membrane solutions. Three available processes are characterised. Main challenges and prospects are given. It is found that in view of numerous challenges practical applications of these processes will be difficult in near future. Further research is therefore needed for improving existing processes through finding methods for eliminating their main drawbacks such as short lifetime of carbonic anhydrase or low resistance of reactive membrane systems to impurities contained in flue gases from power plants.

This article describes methods of the determination of kinetic parameters from the thermogravimetric data set of biomass samples. It presents the methodology of the research, description of the needed equipment, and the method of analysis of thermogravimetric data. It describes both methodology of obtaining quantitative data such as kinetic parameters as well as of obtaining qualitative data like the composition of biomass. The study is focused mainly on plant biomass because it is easy in harvesting and preparation. Methodology is shown on the sample containing corn stover which is subsequently pyrolysed. In this paper, we discuss the process of synthesizing static and dynamic multiple-input translinear element (MITE) networks systematically from high-level descriptions given in the time domain, in terms of static polynomial constraints and algebraic differential equations. We provide several examples, illustrating the process for both static and dynamic system constraints. Although our examples will all involve MITE networks, the early steps of the synthesis process are equally applicable to the synthesis of static and dynamic translinear-loop circuits.
