Finding Positive Solutions Of Boundary Value Dynamic Equations On Time Scale, Olusegun Michael Otunuga
Finding Positive Solutions Of Boundary Value Dynamic Equations On Time Scale, Olusegun Michael Otunuga
Olusegun Michael Otunuga
This thesis is on the study of dynamic equations on time scale. Most often, the derivatives and anti-derivatives of functions are taken on the domain of real numbers, which cannot be used to solve some models like insect populations that are continuous while in season and then follow a difference scheme with variable step-size. They die out in winter, while the eggs are incubating or dormant; and then they hatch in a new season, giving rise to a non overlapping population. The general idea of my thesis is to find the conditions for having a positive solution of any boundary …

Chaotic Behavior In Monetary Systems: Comparison Among Different Types Of Taylor Rule, Reza Moosavi Mohseni Dr., Wenjun Zhang Dr., Jiling Cao Prof.
Chaotic Behavior In Monetary Systems: Comparison Among Different Types Of Taylor Rule, Reza Moosavi Mohseni Dr., Wenjun Zhang Dr., Jiling Cao Prof.
Reza Moosavi Mohseni
The aim of the present study is to detect the chaotic behavior in the monetary economic relevant dynamical system. The study employs three different forms of Taylor rules: current, forward and backward looking. The result suggests the existence of the chaotic behavior in all three systems. In addition, the results strongly represent that using expectations in policy rule especially rational expectation hypothesis can increase the complexity of the system and leads to more chaotic behavior.

we investigate the effects of non oil export on Iran’s economic growth using a computable general equilibrium (CGE) and study which tradable sectors has a larger share in reaching to targeted growth rate 8% in 5th socio economic development plan. We calibrate the model by GAMS (with emphasis on foreign trade sector). Numerical solution to the model is based on Iran’s social accounting matrix (SAM). Results show that 2.03% of targeted economic growth rate is achieved by encouraging a 6% growth in export. It also be mentioned that industry and mine sector in Iran, has more influence on growth than …

Elementary Differential Equations with Boundary Value Problems is written for students in science, engineering, and mathematics who have completed calculus through partial differentiation. If your syllabus includes Chapter 10 (Linear Systems of Differential Equations), your students should have some prepa- ration in linear algebra. In writing this book I have been guided by the these principles: An elementary text should be written so the student can read it with comprehension without too much pain. I have tried to put myself in the student’s place, and have chosen to err on the side of too much detail rather than not enough. …

This article describes methods of the determination of kinetic parameters from the thermogravimetric data set of biomass samples. It presents the methodology of the research, description of the needed equipment, and the method of analysis of thermogravimetric data. It describes both methodology of obtaining quantitative data such as kinetic parameters as well as of obtaining qualitative data like the composition of biomass. The study is focused mainly on plant biomass because it is easy in harvesting and preparation. Methodology is shown on the sample containing corn stover which is subsequently pyrolysed. The investigated sample show the kinetic of first order …
Synthesis Of Static And Dynamic Multiple-Input Translinear Element Networks, Bradley Minch
Synthesis Of Static And Dynamic Multiple-Input Translinear Element Networks, Bradley Minch
Bradley Minch
In this paper, we discuss the process of synthesizing static and dynamic multiple-input translinear element (MITE) networks systematically from high-level descriptions given in the time domain, in terms of static polynomial constraints and algebraic differential equations. We provide several examples, illustrating the process for both static and dynamic system constraints. Although our examples will all involve MITE networks, the early steps of the synthesis process are equally applicable to the synthesis of static and dynamic translinear-loop circuits.

Synthesis Of Dynamic Multiple-Input Translinear Element Networks, Bradley Minch
Bradley Minch
In this paper, the author discusses an approach to the synthesis of dynamic translinear circuits built from multiple-input translation elements (MITEs). In this method, we realize separately the basic static nonlinearities and dynamic signal-processing functions that when cascaded together, form the system that one wishes to construct. The circuit is then simplified systematically through local transformations that do not alter the behavior of the system. The author illustrates the method by synthesizing a simple nonlinear dynamical system, an RMS-DC converter.
Hydrogen Production From Biogas By Oxy-Reforming: Reaction System Analysis, Aleksandra Terlecka, Wojciech M. Budzianowski
Hydrogen Production From Biogas By Oxy-Reforming: Reaction System Analysis, Aleksandra Terlecka, Wojciech M. Budzianowski
Wojciech Budzianowski
Oxy-reforming is emerging as an interesting alternative to conventional methods of hydrogen generation. The current article characterises this process through analysis of individual reactions: SMR (steam methane reforming), WGS (water gas shift) and CPO (catalytic partial oxidation). Analyses relate to optimisation of thermal conditions thus enabling cost-effectivenes of the process.

Multiple Soliton Solutions Of (2+1)-Dimensional Potential Kadomtsev-Petviashvili Equation, Mohammad Najafi M.Najafi, Ali Jamshidi
mohammad najafi
We employ the idea of Hirota’s bilinear method, to obtain some new exact soliton solutions for high nonlinear form of (2+1)-dimensional potential Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation. Multiple singular soliton solutions were obtained by this method. Moreover, multiple singular soliton solutions were also derived.

In this paper at first we investigate the viability of creating an optimum currency area (OCA) in the East Asia. Then we try to find the currency bloc which is more suitable for this region. A ten-variable VAR model employed to estimate the underlying shocks and test the symmetry of them. The results show that forming an OCA for all of the countries in the region is costly and difficult to sustain. But at first five countries called Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippine with symmetric supply shocks can create the single currency area. The rest of the countries …

Some parts of a country may have lower income earned through business activities in comparison with other parts of the country. When it is accompanied by lack of social income because of less access to the products and services provided by the government, it will lead to the serious lag of some areas of the country in comparison with other areas. The first step to prevent such a problem is the recognition of the present situation and the second step is programming to reach an appropriate situation. This article applied socioeconomic indices to recognize the current condition in Fars province …

The Homotopy Perturbation Method For Free Vibration Analysis Of Beam On Elastic Foundation, Baki Ozturk, Safa Bozkurt Coskun
Safa Bozkurt Coskun
In this study, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is applied to free vibration analysis of beam on elastic foundation. This numerical method is applied on three different axially loaded cases, namely: 1) one end fixed, the other end simply supported; 2) both ends fixed and 3) both ends simply supported cases. Analytical solutions and frequency factors are evaluated for different ratios of axial load N acting on the beam to Euler buckling load, Nr. The application of HPM for the particular problem in this study gives results which are in excellent agreement with both analytical solutions and the variational iteration …

Design And Cfd Analysis Of Mass Transfer And Shear Stresses Distributions In Airlift Reactor, Rachid Bannari, Brahim Selma, Abdelfettah Bannari, Pierre Proulx
Rachid BANNARI
The design, scale-up and performance evaluation of biological reactors require accurate information about the gas-liquid flow dynamics. In this study, we use CFD techniques to investigate important parameters of the multiphase flow dynamics on an initial airlift bioreactor in order to improve its design. Such parameters are distributions of shear stresses and mass transfer. Our initial proposed design of the airlift bioreactor was used for biomass growing. Specifically to produce cellulase enzyme using the fungus Trichoderma Reesei. However, the morphology of the microorganism obtained in this bioreactor was not appropriated to produce cellulase. Since the microorganism morphology presented a small …

Saeid Abbasbandy
In this paper a method for solving a general fuzzy linear system with crisp solution is considered. We consider the method in special case when the elements of the coefficient matrix and the right hand side are trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The method in detail is discussed and followed by theorem and illustrated by solving some examples.
