INTRODUCTION: Near-complete skin clearance has become a rapidly achievable treatment goal for patients with psoriasis receiving systemic biologic therapies. However, real-world evidence for durability of near-complete skin clearance and risk factors associated with loss of near-complete skin clearance is limited.
METHODS: This study described durability of near-complete skin clearance (≥ 90% improvement in Psoriasis Area and Severity Index from initiation; PASI90) and identified clinical factors or patient characteristics associated with loss of PASI90 among patients with psoriasis from the CorEvitas Psoriasis Registry (April 2015-August 2021). Included patients had PASI > 5 at biologic initiation and achieved PASI90 at approximately 6 months …

Renal cell carcinoma is the most common type of primary urogenital cancer, usually resistant to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Hypertrophic lichen planus is an inflammatory dermatosis characterized by the presence of papulosquamous and intensely pruritic lesions. The association of these two conditions is unusual, being reported in the specialized literature only in a few rare cases with the onset of lichenoid lesions after patients have undergone various forms of treatment. The case of a 62-year-old male patient who was admitted for severe abdominal pain due to a giant renal tumor associated with a hypertrophic plaque located on the anterior part of …

Dorsal Wrist Impingement Syndrome Pain After Ganglion Cyst Removal – A Case Report, Sidharth Sahni, Joseph Fares, Natty Jumreornvong, Arpun Shah, Mariam Zakhary
Rowan-Virtua Research Day
A ganglion cyst is a benign fluid-filled sac that develops idiopathically on the dorsal aspect of the wrist by the joint capsule or tendon sheath. It is diagnosed clinically, with MRI and ultrasound used for confirmation. Treatment includes immobilization, aspiration, hydrossection, steroid or hyaluronidase injection, and surgery. Although uncommon, Dorsal Ganglion Cysts (DGC) can lead to Dorsal Wrist Impingement (DWI) syndrome. This syndrome is caused by a thickening of the wrist capsule from overuse, injury, or repetitive procedures. This thickness leads to capsule pinching commonly by the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) tendon during wrist extension and tenderness by the …
