Objective: This study examined the effect of toothpastes containing theobromine and arginine on the roughness changes of microhybrid composite, nanohybrid composite, and giomer restorative materials. Methods: A total of 90 disc-shaped specimens were prepared using microhybrid composite (Arabesk-Ara), nanohybrid composite (Herculite-Her), and giomer (Beautifil II-Gio). The samples were divided into 3 subgroups (n = 10), and initial surface roughness was evaluated with a mechanical profilometer and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Objective: To investigate the effect of various surface treatments and different application times on shear bond strength between polyetheretherketone and composite resin. Methods: A total of 110 disc-shaped polyetheretherketone specimens were randomly divided into 9 groups and 4 different surface treatments (control, sandblasting, tribochemical silica coating, sulfuric acid) were applied. The sandblasting, tribochemical silica coating, and sulfuric acid processes were performed 3 different times (10s, 15s, 20s). Introduction: Direct pulp capping involves placing a material over the exposed pulp in order to maintain its vitality. For decades, calcium hydroxide (CH) has served as the gold standard for this purpose, but its toxicity to the pulp may negatively impact treatment outcomes. Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) has become a popular alternative based partly on its excellent biocompatibility.
