Congenital Anomalies Of The Heart, C. W.M. Poynter
Congenital Anomalies Of The Heart, C. W.M. Poynter
Papers from the University Studies series (University of Nebraska)
For a number of years I have been studying the abnormalities of the circulatory system resulting from developmental disturbances. One paper relating to the aortic arches has already appeared, Poynter (1916), and in this one I shall confine myself to the anomalies of the heart. There are few subjects which have attracted more attention among the medical profession than the irregularities in the developmen~ of the heart and great vessels, but in the case of the heart the interest is not so much from the teratological side as in the case of the arteries; its developmental defects are frequently of …
Arterial Anomalies Pertaining To The Aortic Arches And The Branches Arising From Them, Charles William Mccorkle Poynter
Arterial Anomalies Pertaining To The Aortic Arches And The Branches Arising From Them, Charles William Mccorkle Poynter
Papers from the University Studies series (University of Nebraska)
For a number of years I have been interested in the arterial variations which have been encountered in my dissecting rooms. Notes have been made of these abnormalities and the literature describing similar conditions has been gradually collected. The more recent textbooks in anatomy devote little space to the subject of arterial variations and the classic works which have reviewed the field are no longer readily consulted; then, too, new facts have been added to our knowledge of arterial development since the most recent of the latter were published. In view of these facts it has seemed worth while to …

Chelonian Brain-Membranes, Brain-Bladder, Metapore And Metaplexus, John P. Munson
Biology Faculty Scholarship
The chelonian brain is not too small to be studied macroscopically. It is easily removed from the skull. Minute surface details and the cell structure can be easily observed.
