Registered Nurses (RNs) working in OB triage must be able to correctly and expediently identify the care a pregnant patient needs. In spite of available technology and known factors resulting in medication errors, chemotherapy errors remain the major cause of iatrogenic patient morbidity in hospitals (Gilbar, 2001; Heidt et al., 2001 ). Employing a grounded theory approach, this researcher built upon the theoretical concepts of the Community of Inquiry (CoI) model (Garrison, Anderson, & Archer, 2000). In vitro fertilization (IVF) has been used successfully in the United States since 1981.
