Preparation And Electrochemical Performance Of Tio2/Gns Nanocomposite As Anode Materials For Lithium-Ion Batteries, Lin-Lin Qin, Huan Zhang, Xiao-Jing Liu, Jian-Hui Xu, Yi-Ning Shi, Ming-Sen Zheng, Quan-Feng Dong

Journal of Electrochemistry

The honeycomb-like porous TiO2/graphenes (TiO2/GNs) nanocomposite was prepared by a reflux method. SEM and TEM results showed that nanosized anatase TiO2 (about 5~10 nm) were dispersed uniformly on the surface of the GNs. The TiO2/GNs composite showed excellent rate and cycling performance: A stable charge capacity of 169.5 mAh?g-1 was obtained at 30C, and can restore to 241.7 mAh?g-1 while current went back to 1C. The stable charge capacity of TiO2/GNs nanocomposite electrode up to 201.9 mAh?g-1 was achieved at 10C in the first cycle, and could be maintained at 181.4 mAh?g-1 after 300 times of cycling.

Synthesis And Electrochemical Properties Of Lifeso4f/Graphene Composite As Cathode Material For Lithium-Ion Batteries, Wei Guo, Ya-Xia Yin, Li-Jun Wan, Yu-Guo Guo Apr 2012

Synthesis And Electrochemical Properties Of Lifeso4f/Graphene Composite As Cathode Material For Lithium-Ion Batteries, Wei Guo, Ya-Xia Yin, Li-Jun Wan, Yu-Guo Guo

Journal of Electrochemistry

The LiFeSO4F was successfully synthesized from the reactions of FeSO4?xH2O (x=1, 4, 7) with LiF in tetraethylene glycol media through a facile low temperature method. The structures and microscopic features of the products were characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM. TGA result shows the good thermal stability of the as-prepared LiFeSO4F. No diffraction peaks of the FeSO4 are observed in the as-prepared products with the starting material of either FeSO4?4H2O or FeSO4?7H2O, which should be ascribed to delaying the release of H2O from the hydrated compounds. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) results prove that the LiFeSO4F/graphene …

Development Of Nanocomposites For Energy Storage Devices, Md Ashiqur Rahaman Khan Jan 2012

Development Of Nanocomposites For Energy Storage Devices, Md Ashiqur Rahaman Khan

Open Access Theses & Dissertations

With the ever-increasing need in improving the performance and operation life of future mobile devices, developing higher power density energy storage devices has been receiving more attention. Lithium ion battery (LIB) and capacitor are two of the most widely used energy storage devices and have attracted increasing interest from both industrial and academic fields. Batteries have higher power density than capacitor but significantly longer charge/discharge rates. In order to further improve the performance of these energy storage devices, one of the approaches is to use high specific surface area nano-materials. Among all the nano-materials developed so far, one-dimensional nanowires are …

Graphene is a unique and revolutionary new nanomaterial. A method for it's production had a U.S. patent application in 2002 (patent issued in 2006), it was produced via mechanical exfolia-tion in 2004, and subsequently the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded in 2010 for it. These events have sparked a surge of graphene-related research. In order for graphene to be widely studied and incorporated into emerging technologies, a versatile method for large scale produc-tion of high-quality graphene is required. Current methods are either slow or expensive which limits the scale-up of graphene production. Very recently, the liquid phase exfoliation of …
