A sixty-day feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary effective microorganisms (EM) Bokashi on organ histology, growth performance, and survival rate of freshwater crayfish Pontastacus leptodactylus (Eschscholtz, 1823). Bokashi serum and powder consisted of two major microorganisms as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens spp. plantarum and Lactobacillus plantarum. Four treatment groups were established in control (without bokashi), bokashi powder 1% and 5% supplemented to diets. The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the effects of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) on tendon healing in rabbits. A total of 30 adult healthy New Zealand rabbits were used for this study. The rabbits were randomly allocated into 3 groups containing an equal animal number. The experimental tenotomy of the Achilles tendons was created on longitudinal aspect with 10 mm in length. Studies involving molecular genetic characterization of silkworms are quite limited. Therefore, with this study, pure and hybrid silkworm lines raised in Turkey was characterized for the first time by microsatellite DNA markers. Samples were collected from 7 different silkworm lines, of which the pure lines were obtained from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Bursa and the hybrid ones from Silkworm Cocoon Association of Turkey (Kozabirlik). Hypochlorous acid (HClO) is an excellent surface disinfectant and classified as nonhazardous but maintaining a steady HClO solution is extremely difficult. This study aimed to mix HClO with various metal nanoparticles (NPs) to improve stability. The efficiency of the prepared solutions against Salmonella Typhimurium, Salmonella Enteritidis, Salmonella Dublin, and Salmonella Infantis was assessed using the culture method in five distinct experimental groups at varying temperatures (4 °C, 10 °C, 25 °C, 40 °C, and 50 °C). This research aims to determine the morphometric characteristics of the donkey (Equus asinus) populations reared in Turkey. For this purpose, live weights and body measurements were collected from 500 donkeys. This study aimed to estimate the genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships of Indonesian native and local cattle breeds using 16S rRNA mitochondrial DNA. The study analyzed 93 DNA samples from six cattle breeds. The polymerase chain reaction was conducted using two primer pairs to sequence the complete 16S rRNA gene. This study was carried out to investigate the species identification and enumeration of some pathogenic microorganisms before and after feeding the full ration contaminated by predatory starling bird herds on 5 different days in the dairy cattle farm in Aksaray. The study aimed to update the molecular prevalence of some tick-borne pathogens (Borrelia burgdorferi, Babesia spp., and Anaplasma spp.) in the shelter dogs of the Thrace Region, Turkey. The study was carried out on 450 dogs from 7 pet shelters. The individual data of the dogs were recorded, and blood samples were collected in tubes with anticoagulants (EDTA). The aim of this study was to investigate the distribution and density of IgG, vimentin, and CD45 in mouse placenta on the fourth, tenth, and seventeenth days of pregnancy. Strept avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex (streptABC) staining method was used. On the fourth day of pregnancy, the expression of IgG, vimentin, and CD45 was more intense around the uterine glands. On the tenth day, IgG, vimentin and CD45 positive cells were demonstrated in decidua basalis and mesometrial parietal trophoblast giant cells (P-TGCs) and mesometrial lymphocyte groups (MLAp) portions. The effects of mill moth (Ephestia kuehniella) egg meal (IEM) upon growth performance and fatty acid profile of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) (1.12 ± 0.01 g) were evaluated in triplicate groups for 12 weeks. Three isonitrogenous (35% CP) and isocaloric (17 MJ kg?1) diets were formulated replacing fishmeal with 0% (G-0), 50% (G-50), and 100% (G-100) IEM. The results of the trial indicated that G-50 had the highest growth performance values and a more efficient FCR (1.79). Replacement levels of IEM did not have any significant effect on survival. In this study, monensin (MON) was investigated for its apoptotic and genotoxic effects on chick liver tissue and cytotoxic and apoptotic effects on chick primary hepatocytes isolated from perfused liver tissue. Western blotting and real-time PCR (qPCR) were used to determine the apoptotic effect on primary hepatocytes and liver tissue, and the comet assay was used to determine the genotoxic effect on liver tissue. MON decreased cell viability in primary hepatocytes with increasing concentrations. When administered at concentrations of 1 and 10 μM, MON increased the levels of apoptotic p53, caspase-3, and caspase-9, and downregulated the expression of the antiapoptotic …

The aim of the study was to assess the ability of horses to learn how to open feeder boxes in a direction associated with the time of day. The study involved 10 horses. The first stage of the study consisted in learning how to complete the task. The second stage involved the test and was followed by a control stage. The results indicated the highest number of failed attempts in the leftward movement test. Malassezia pachydermatis is an opportunistic yeast found in the ear canal of small animals; however, the current azole-based therapy applied to it has failed to achieve clinical success due to the antifungal resistance. This issue has encouraged the studies in natural products, such as Origanum vulgare (oregano), Origanum majorana (marjoram) and Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) essential oils, although their mechanism of action remains unclear. The present work was carried out on twenty-five goats to study the anatomy and sonar as well as Doppler vascular perfusion of kidney in the goat. The ultrasonographic scanning of goat's kidney appeared its cortex oriented as a homogenous hypoechoic area while the medullary pyramids are presented as hypoechoic-anechoic areas deeper than the cortex. This study was conducted with two experiments to investigate the efficacy of intravaginal antibiotic or their combination with different gonadotropin use on vaginitis and the fertility in Berrichon ewes. All ewes (n = 106) were synchronized with intravaginal sponges containing 60 mg medroxyprogesterone acetate for 14 days. This study was designed to characterize changes in the acute phase proteins (APPs), hormones parallel to performance, and egg quality traits in laying hens exposed to heat stress (HS). In the study, fertility parameters of Hair goats and the growth performance of kids raised under farmer conditions were investigated. The data of birth weight of 28,768 kids, the body weight of 27,541 kids aged d 90, and reproductive parameters of 26,693 does were used between 2013 and 2017 years. In this study, we aimed to determine the number, volume, and lumbosacral enlargement of the lumbosacral segments using stereology methods. In accordance with the study, 10 adult geese (regardless of sex) which were healthy and weighing 3-4 kg was chosen. The present research assessed the effect of different levels of Pueraria lobate leaf (PLL) on growth performance, immunity, antioxidant capacity, and blood index in broiler feed. A total of 384 at 21 days old chicks were assigned to 1 of 4 dietary treatments to examine the benefits of basal diet, basal diet +1% PLL, basal diet +2% PLL and basal diet +3% PLL.
