In May 1948, the United Nations launched its first peacekeeping mission named the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO). Since this first mission, the United Nations has launched over 70 peacekeeping missions in regions such as Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa (Bellamy and Williams, 2015). The overarching goal of the United Nations, and the Security Council as the organ responsible for authorizing peacekeeping missions, is to protect international peace (United Nations, 1945a). This thesis explores the impact of Brexit on the United Kingdom’s economy. The question this thesis seeks to answer is which side of the Brexit argument, Pro-Brexit or Anti-Brexit, is playing out in the United Kingdom today years after Brexit. To address this question, I will use three prominent immigration theories as well as open border and closed border theory which are grounded in the Pro-Brexit and Anti-Brexit arguments. During the Northern Ugandan War, the Lord’s Resistance Army kidnapped and recruited 30,000 children and forced them to become soldiers. Nearly twenty years since the end of the war, former child soldiers continue to experience extreme poverty, psychological distress, and social isolation. For many, the economic hardship they face, due to stigma and missing out on school, is their greatest challenge upon returning home. This paper analyzes the strategies used by the government and non-state actors to reintegrate former child soldiers back into the Ugandan economy. Through this paper, I will provide an analysis of current and future threats using a literature review and informational interviewing. The literature review revealed four major National Security threats facing higher education institutions due to Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIE): foreign recruitment of faculty and students, increase in foreign students and screening difficulties, campus openness/easy access to facilities and information, and foreign funding for research. Volodymyr Zelenskyy's public diplomacy during the Russo-Ukrainian conflict was examined in this dissertation. Zelenskyy’s discourse emphasized his action-oriented traits, Ukrainian identity, and nationalism. The study employed LTA, and LIWC-22, for natural language processing analyses of Zelenskyy's public speeches and diplomatic discourse. Zelenskyy demonstrated agency, adaptability, collaboration, and positive language patterns, suggesting confidence and optimism, according to the data. In addition, the research emphasizes how domestic and international factors influence state behavior, as well as how political demands, cultural, historical, and political factors influence Zelenskyy's decision-making.

Despite the research that has been done, there was a lapse in scholarship analyzing terrorism radicalization and its relationship with criminology. การค้าขยะระหว่างประเทศ เป็นวิธีการที่ทุกประเทศทั่วโลกใช้ในการกำจัดขยะ โดยเฉพาะประเทศที่พัฒนาแล้วซึ่งมีการสร้างขยะจำนวนมหาศาล ผ่านการให้ความหมายใหม่จากขยะที่หมายถึงของเสีย กลายเป็นวัตถุดิบชั้นรองที่สามารถนำไปสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มผ่านการรีไซเคิลได้ โดยอาศัยวาทกรรมการพัฒนาที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อให้การส่งออกขยะไปยังประเทศที่มีการพัฒนาน้อยกว่าเป็นไปอย่างชอบธรรม ทำให้ประเทศปลายทางได้รับผลกระทบจากการกำจัดขยะแทนประเทศต้นทาง การค้าขยะระหว่างประเทศจึงเป็นการล่าอาณานิคมในรูปแบบใหม่ที่เรียกว่า "Waste Colonialism" ดังกรณีศึกษาประเทศไทย ที่รัฐบาลทหารขาดธรรมาภิบาล เป็นผู้อำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่นายทุนต่างชาติ นำเข้าขยะมารีไซเคิลโดยมองข้ามผลกระทบต่อธรรมชาติและความเป็นอยู่ของประชาชน ทำให้ประเทศไทยตกอยู่ภายใต้อาณานิคมขยะของประเทศที่พัฒนาแล้ว

การปรับโครงสร้างกำลังพลถือเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญของการปฏิรูปกองทัพจีนในปี 2015 ภายใต้การนำของ สีจิ้นผิง ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของยุทธศาสตร์การฟื้นฟูความยิ่งใหญ่ของประเทศหรือ “ความฝันจีน” โดยมุ่งสร้างกองทัพที่ทันสมัย เข้มแข็ง และมีประสิทธิภาพสูง เพื่อเป็นหลักประกันความมั่นคงและผลักดันการยกระดับสถานะของจีนบนเวทีโลก การปรับโครงสร้างกำลังพลของกองทัพจีนประกอบด้วย การปรับลดกำลังพลลง 300,000 นาย และการปรับสัดส่วนกำลังพลระหว่างเหล่าทัพ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการปรับโครงสร้างดังกล่าวช่วยให้กองทัพจีนสามารถจัดสรรงบประมาณได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการลงทุนในเทคโนโลยีและอาวุธยุทโธปกรณ์ที่ทันสมัย เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการฝึกอบรมกำลังพล การวิจัยและพัฒนาด้านการทหาร และการบูรณาการการปฏิบัติการระหว่างเหล่าทัพ นอกจากนี้ การปรับโครงสร้างยังส่งผลให้กองทัพจีนมีขีดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติภารกิจที่หลากหลายมากขึ้น ทั้งในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก โดยเฉพาะการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติการทางทะเลในพื้นที่ยุทธศาสตร์สำคัญอย่างทะเลจีนใต้ รวมถึงการส่งเสริมการขยายอิทธิพลทางทหารในระดับโลกผ่านการจัดตั้งฐานทัพในต่างประเทศและการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงกับประเทศพันธมิตร การปฏิรูปครั้งนี้จึงถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการวางรากฐานสำหรับการพัฒนาประเทศในระยะยาวและการเสริมสร้างอำนาจของจีนในเวทีโลก อันจะนำไปสู่การบรรลุเป้าหมายการเป็นมหาอำนาจชั้นนำของโลกภายในปี 2049 ตามวิสัยทัศน์ “ความฝันของจีน”

สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้เป็นการศึกษาหาเหตุปัจจัยที่ทำให้บริษัทไทยยังคงรักษาฐานการลงทุนในเมียนมาภายหลังการเกิดรัฐประหาร 2021 ซึ่งได้ศึกษาวิจัยผ่านกรอบทฤษฎีเสรีนิยมใหม่ (Neoliberalism) ของ Friedrich Hayek เพื่อนำไปสู่คำตอบของคำถามวิจัย โดยส่วนแรกของสารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้จะกล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์การรัฐประหารเมียนมา 2021 ความรุนแรงและการตอบโต้ของประชาชนที่เกิดขึ้น รวมไปถึงการคว่ำบาตรจากชาติตะวันตกทั้งจากสหรัฐอเมริกาและสหภาพยุโรป ส่วนถัดไปผู้วิจัยได้กล่าวถึงนโยบายทางเศรษฐกิจของไทยที่มีต่อเมียนมาและการวิเคราะห์หาสาเหตุโดยนำกรอบเสรีนิยมใหม่ (Neoliberalism) ของ Friedrich Hayek มาเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญ นอกจากนี้ผู้วิจัยยังได้ยกตัวอย่างบริษัทเอกชนรายใหญ่ของไทยที่ยังคงรักษาฐานการลงทุนในเมียนมาเพื่อเป็นตัวอย่างประกอบทำให้เห็นภาพได้ชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น และส่วนสุดท้ายคือบทสรุปที่ผู้วิจัยได้วิเคราะห์และสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงปัจจัยสำคัญที่ทำให้บริษัทไทยดำเนินการลงทุนในเมียนมาท่ามกลางสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบทางการเมืองภายหลังเกิดรัฐประหารขึ้นในปี 2021 ผ่านกรอบทฤษฎีเสรีนิยมใหม่ (Neoliberalism)

The intervention of third-party mediators is often critical in the resolution of intrastate armed conflicts. Their success hinges on such factors as the mediator’s skill and perceived impartiality, the support of the United Nations Security Council and clarity of their mandate, the timing of their interventions (the ‘ripeness’ concept) and the involvement of civil society. The purpose of this research will be to assess the effectiveness of third-party interventions in the Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, Libya, and Myanmar conflicts on the basis of these criteria. As a dominant economic powerhouse in Latin America, Brazil paradoxically exhibits profound socioeconomic divides and egregious rates of violence. This study seeks to illuminate the extent of the intricate relationship between Brazil's inherent inequalities and its propensity for violence by employing a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The study focuses on the years from 2002 to 2021, a period characterized by pivotal social, economic, and political transformations. Utilizing the United Nations definition of homicide as a primary measure of violence, I collected data from Brazilian health repositories for all 27 federative unit's annual reported number of homicides.
