On August 31, 2017, personnel from Prewitt and Associates, Inc., conducted an intensive archeological survey on Culebra Creek in west-central San Antonio, Texas, for Adams Environmental, Inc., and the City of San Antonio under Texas Antiquities Permit No. 8145. This work was completed prior to proposed channel improvements below existing bridges at Culebra Road and Timber Path. The horizontal Area of Potential Effects (APE) for the project is 10.6 acres of city-owned property composed of 1.7 acres at Culebra Road and 8.9 acres downstream at Timber Path. one Mountain Archaeological Services, Inc. (Lone Mountain) conducted this cultural resource survey for the West Kermit Phase 2 3-D Seismic project proposed by Dawson Geophysical (Dawson). The undertaking consists of a 3-D seismic exploration for petrochemical resources within University lands in Loving, Ward, and Winkler Counties, Texas. Geophones will be laid along receiver lines by crews using ATVs, while vibroseis trucks will travel along source lines. No drilling or grubbing is proposed. Archaeological monitoring of repairs to the historic Gan’s Dam, previously recorded as one historic component of archaeological site (41WM17), was conducted October 2-12, 2013 at the Berry Springs Preserve in Williamson County, Texas. Previous storm damage caused the dam to fail and impounded pond waters pushed the surface portion of the historic dam downstream. Halff Associates, Inc, the routing consultant for Oncor, contracted with AR Consultants, Inc. to conduct an intensive pedestrian survey of the 370-m proposed transmission line route located on University of Texas School Lands. Survey was conducted on August 30, 2017.
