Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a remarkably individualized disease. Nearly every person’s trajectory is unique. One person may experience tremor at an early stage of the disease, while another may experience tremor at a later stage or even not at all. Conservative diagnoses estimate that 2.4 million children and adults are living with CHD in the United States (Gilboa et al., 2016). Introduction: Psychosocial symptoms (e.g., emotional distress, anxiety, and depression) are under-recognized and undertreated in patients diagnosed with cancer. Head and neck cancer (HNC) patients are particularly vulnerable to poor psychosocial health due to the often disfiguring and permanently life-altering nature of HNC treatment. Prior research suggests that psychosocial symptoms contribute to poor quality of life in HNC patients. However, the association between precancer treatment anxiety and depression on quality of life after HNC treatment is unknown. Schizophrenia (SZ) is a debilitating mental illness characterized by adolescence or early adulthood onset of psychosis, positive and negative symptoms, as well as cognitive impairments. Despite a plethora of studies leveraging functional connectivity (FC) from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to predict symptoms and cognitive impairments of SZ, the findings have exhibited great heterogeneity. Various interventions have attempted to reduce the rates of sexual violence perpetrated by college men; however, meta-analyses suggest interventions need to further evaluate theoretically derived mechanisms to improve outcomes (Malamuth et al., 2018; DeGue et al., 2014; Vladutiu, et al., 2011). To address this concern, the present study utilized the Integrated Theory of Sexual Offending (ITSO; Ward et al., 2016; Ward & Beech, 2008; 2006) to explore mechanisms underlying the relationships between sexual arousal, alcohol use history (AUH), and sexual aggression. Impulsivity, compulsions, obsessions, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, and neuroticism have all been researched in relation with the development of alcohol use disorder and drinking behaviors. Schizophrenia is a severe neuropsychiatric disorder of largely unknown etiology that is often accompanied by high rates of cigarette smoking, reduced quit success, and high relapse rates. Dysregulated dopamine signaling and aberrant synaptic plasticity in the mesocorticolimbic pathway are implicated in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia and conferred substance abuse disorder and relapse vulnerability. Genetic factors are presumed to play a significant role in the development of schizophrenia, with a 40-50% concordance rate for monozygotic twins, although genetic markers are inconsistent. Quetiapine is an atypical antipsychotic that is used in many clinical scenarios; it has been approved and has shown to be effective in the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar symptoms. Additionally, it has several off-label uses, including the treatment of insomnia. In this case report, an elderly veteran was given quetiapine as a sleep aid. After the first dose, he demonstrated severe agitation. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, there have been limited reports of this reaction. Although there are limitations to this case report, it serves as a cautionary lesson when prescribing a medication like quetiapine and to …

Furthermore, these experiences put adolescents at a greater risk for obesity and depression. With adequate screening, nurses would be able to identify adolescents going through these troubling times.
