Chronic diseases are costly to treat and burdensome for patients. Mobile health (mHealth) technologies might reduce costs of care and increase patient self-efficacy in chronic disease management, but the patient experience of mHealth is poorly understood. Our objective, therefore, was to evaluate patient experiences with using an mHealth app for complex chronic disease management, within a U.S. population of low-income patients. Patient volumes in urgent cares (UCs) and emergency departments (EDs) continue to climb, contributing to longer wait times and suboptimal patient and family experiences (PFEs). Objectives

This study explored attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control of participants across urban, rural and remote settings and examined intention-to-use telemedicine (defined in this study as remote patient-clinician consultations) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods

This is a cross-sectional study. 12 focus group discussions were conducted with 60 diverse telemedicine user and non-user participants across 3 study settings. Analysis of responses was done to understand the attitudes, norms and perceived behavioural control of participants. This explored the relationship between the aforementioned factors and intention to use.

Background: Despite their growing use in health care, pretrained language models (PLMs) often lack clinical relevance due to insufficient domain expertise and poor interpretability. A key strategy to overcome these challenges is integrating external knowledge into PLMs, enhancing their adaptability and clinical usefulness. Current biomedical knowledge graphs like UMLS (Unified Medical Language System), SNOMED CT (Systematized Medical Nomenclature for Medicine-Clinical Terminology), and HPO (Human Phenotype Ontology), while comprehensive, fail to effectively connect general biomedical knowledge with physician insights. Peramalan jumlah pasien di rumah sakit merupakan aspek kritis dalam perencanaan rumah sakit kesehatan yang efektif, terutama untuk memastikan ketersediaan sumber daya medis dan layanan yang memadai. Penelitian ini membandingkan tiga metode exponential smoothing (single, double, dan triple exponential smoothing) dalam meramalkan jumlah pasien dengan menggunakan data jumlah pasien dari tahun 2020 – 2023 dan akan diramalkan untuk 5 periode kedepan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode triple exponential smoothing memiliki nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) terkecil, yaitu 14%.
