Adolescents with Type I and Type II diabetes need to monitor blood glucose and food intake, administer insulin, and participate in activities including physical education during school hours to maintain glycemic control. Glycemic management programs (GMPs) exist for the improvement of diabetes management during school hours. The purpose of this project was to evaluate a GMP in a school system in a rural area in the Southeastern United States. This research study analyses the relationships between career commitment and gender, career status, and career satisfaction. Results indicated three major findings. First, men are more likely to be committed to the healthcare administration profession. Second, commitment to the healthcare administration profession decreases as individuals advance further into their career. Third, commitment to the healthcare administration profession decreases the more satisfied an individual is with the progress they have made toward meeting their overall career goals. Further research is needed to understand the implications behind these findings.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between health insurance status and diabetes management (in terms of medication adherence and physical activity levels) in Black adults based on socioeconomic factors. Data were harvested from the Sample Adult Questionnaires of the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) between the years of 2010 and 2016. The survey questions that were collected included information about the participants' income, education level, insurance status, diabetes diagnosis, medication therapy and physical activity levels. Background

The Central Appalachian region of the United States is in the midst of a hepatitis C virus epi- demic driven by injection of opioids, particularly heroin, with contaminated syringes. In response to this epidemic, several needle exchange programs (NEP) have opened to pro- vide clean needles and other supplies and services to people who inject drugs (PWID). How- ever, no studies have investigated the barriers and facilitators to implementing, operating, and expanding NEPs in less populous areas of the United States.
