The growth of tourism in Indonesia has positively impacted the hospitality sector, particularly in the kitchen department which is in charge of providing food and beverages to guests. Kitchen Hotel Holiday Inn Kemayoran wants to optimize the use of food scraps to control expenses without compromising food quality and hygiene. The results showed that there was a waste of food ingredients at the butcher and commissary in the hotel's main kitchen, such as chicken bones, shrimp shells, and vegetable ingredients. This article examines the rise and conflict of narratives about the fall of the Iraqi city of Mosul to the Islamic State (ISIS), which marks its tenth anniversary this year (2024). ISIS occupied parts of Iraq from 2014 to 2017, and its defeat required Iraqi mobilization and international support from the international coalition. This article attempts to trace the narratives and their conflicts about the main cause of Mosul’s fall to ISIS. Mediante una metodología cualitativa, que incluye observación libre, conversaciones grupales y pruebas fonológicas, se investigan las características lingüísticas de los hablantes saharauis, cuya lengua materna es el hassanía. This study aims to examine the underlying barriers that hinder social and environmental sustainability at food tourism festivals from the perspectives of the local community and festival organizers. In the context of an abalone festival in Japan, a qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews with key stakeholders was conducted. The findings suggest that the local community's skepticism and mediocre (un)involvement, ambiguous representation of local tradition/culture, and limited social interactions between hosts and tourists were hindering social sustainability. Building on past research on tour guides and guiding, this paper provides an in-depth examination of the safety management role of tour guides leading adventure trips. A review of previous literature identifies broad dimensions of tour guiding and, within these dimensions, specific guiding roles mainly in relation to communication. This research aims to analyse business operators’ perception of the impact of the Portuguese Way of St. James and to assess the landscape situation along a total section of 115 kilometres. Perceptions were collected in a survey of 112 small operators between 2020 and 2021. The diversity and singular components of the landscape make it a pleasant route to experience, where pilgrims have the possibility to improve wellbeing, and enjoy the landscape. Operators have profited from the significant increase in the number of pilgrims walking along the Way and claim that they aim to continue their operations.
