The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and alcohol use in adulthood among individuals who responded to the BRFSS 2022 study. Secondary data was used to gather information on adults. The BRFSS 2022 survey was a national survey conducted by the CDC that utilized stratified sampling to create two groups of participants based on phone number type. This study used content analysis of a selected sample of 33 young adult fiction books published between 1980-1995, to determine if the portrayal of abandonment of children by their mothers is realistic according to social research of those populations. Findings indicate that in a majority of the titles the abandonment is caused by the mother's need to establish her own identity and the abandoned child(ren)'s reactions are characterized by negative behaviors. This research was based on a concern for libraries in third world countries. A study of literature about public and school libraries in two developing countries in the Middle East was conducted. Based on the evidence that certain conditions were present in the United States and Europe before library development began, this researcher isolated eight of these conditions to research whether they were in existence or growing in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

The purpose of this study was to examine and evaluate the portrayal of death in selected fiction books for adolescents. The sample for the study consisted of eleven books selected by a committee of professionals in the field of adolescent literature. These are books that tend to be available to adolescents in libraries. A method of content analysis was applied'as the research design in which each book was analyzed on a basis of seven categories.
