The purpose of the study was to assess the correlations between a young female's body image, the corresponding levels of depression, and the impact on her feelings about the experiences of intimate relationships. This research study examined the link between body image dissatisfaction, depression, and sexual attitudes among college women. This study hypothesized that various factors such as age, religion, and ethnicity may affect body image dissatisfaction. College women are a vulnerable population. This study utilized quantitative research methods through surveys that were administered to 120 college women between 18 and 30, with 83 women actually responding.

Mental health issues are becoming more and more prevalent in youth and adolescents. The study was conducted at Bilingual Family Counseling which provides individual counseling, family counseling, couple/marital counseling, school-based counseling, anger management groups, and support groups for girls.

The purpose of this study is to advance knowledge in the area of case management services by investigating "what characteristics are most frequent in clients who complete the case management program and in clients who did not complete the case management provided through the Montclair Community Collaborative (MCC)." This research addresses case management services and centers on obtaining client data pertaining to case management services, focusing on the family's outcome. The general research methodology consisted of a qualitative review (content analysis) of an existing data set (case records). This study examined a random sample of 130 MCC case management studies.

This paper explores the emergence of social work as a profession in Vietnam and the ways in which international collaboration can play a role in its development. The paper reviews the literature pertaining to the social issues that have accompanied recent rapid social and economic change in Vietnam. The authors then describe recent developments in social work and social work education in Vietnam in response to these emerging problems. The role of international collaboration is explored and examples of four recent collaborations are provided that illustrate exchanges of curriculum and related social work knowledge, capacity building, technical assistance, and teaching. …

This paper discusses the problem the researcher finds in the lack of information on what people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) are looking for in support groups that are designed around specifically for people with MS. This paper discusses what MS is, the reasoning on designing a study on this topic, and the significance of the project to social work. The goal of this research was to provide information to social work professionals about the benefits of self-help mutual aid and psycho-educational support groups in the community, and to examine the Latino attitudes toward support groups. The research examines some Latino cultural values such as familism, social network, and spirituality. The various Spanish and Spanish/English speaking support groups that participated in this study were from San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties. The sample size in this research was 30 Latino individuals from four Spanish, or Spanish/English self-help mutual aid, and psycho-educational support groupsavailable in the Inland Empire.

The purpose of this study is to understand parent's experiences of accessing services for their ASD children. It was the researcher's goal to document parent's stories and experiences of accesssing services for their ASD children. This research project engaged 11 families in in-depth interviews exploring their experiences accessing services. Four areas of services emerged from the interviews: diagnostic services, services through Regional Centers, services offered at their child's school, and other services accessed (i.e. through insurance or community organizations).

The purpose of this project was to explore the level of father involvement in the upbringing of their special needs child. For most parents, raising children is filled with great moments, milestones and achievements as well as being highly stressful and overwhelming, especially if the upbringing involves a special needs child. The levels of stress involved in the upbringing of a developmentally disabled child are intense and can often times hinder the healthy growth and development of the family unit. The results in this study indicated that fathers were highly involved with their special needs children.
