The intent of this investigation is to identify the primary elements that have incited the emergence of the political movements of the Afro-descendants within Chile. Across the world people of darker hues, specifically those of African descent, face systemic discrimination and therefore oppression by the hands of states across the African Diaspora. This study focuses on the implementation of the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) policy in poverty alleviation efforts in Kembangan District, West Jakarta, during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the BPNT program managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia adheres to the distribution procedures, several challenges have emerged, including delays in disbursing aid funds, invalid beneficiary data, issues with E-waroeng (food stalls), account registration, delayed distribution, and occasional inadequacy of food supplies. Immigration is not a new concept in Chile but in recent years the great influx of Latin American immigrants, including Venezuelan immigrants, has seen a great backlash from the Chilean government and society. This is largely due to the white and European values that have been integrated into Chilean society. Starting in 1989 with the advent of DNA analysis, discourse on wrongful conviction has become more prevalent in the U.S., but lacks an explanation for how they happen. There are a number of studies on the effects of wrongful conviction on its victims in social, mental, and historical terms. The community's dependence on the forest makes the community's position vulnerable when access to the forest is restricted. The restrictions on community access to forests impact on emerging social problems such as poverty, conflict, and illegal logging. Responding to this problem, the government rolled out a social forestry program to improve people's lives. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation to study in depth how the community development stages are implemented in the social forestry program in Burno Village. Digital protest has become a solution to the problem of access, and has morphed into a sentencing of separation that is difficult to escape from. As such, how we protest and participate should be self-determined. Organizers should not assume that because a person has a disability they will be participating digitally, or from the confines of their homes. People often assume that only legislators and law enforcement personnel can take meaningful steps to fight human trafficking, one of the most lucrative transnational crimes in the world. This inquiry sought to assess the validity of that belief. The study was informed by the author’s experience as a college instructor of human trafficking and the inspiration he drew from the range and quality of his students’ projects.

While men are most often the perpetrators of violent crimes, ritually motivated pedicide and mutilation equally attract women. The role of women in these crimes is not restricted to the less violent aspects of the crimes; instead, they also extend to the most brutal elements, often involving mutilation, decapitation or outright murder of the victim. It is defined by the Equality and Human Rights Commission as being treated differently because of one’s race. The problem is as old as the justice system itself—how to reduce the chance that an individual reoffends after they commit an offense and become involved with the justice system. This challenge of reducing recidivism remains critical. According to the Prison Policy Initiative, there are over 120,000 individuals in state prisons in California. Another 380,000 cycle through jails in California every year. In 2021, roughly 25,000 individuals were released from prison in California each year. This is the scope of the challenge.

Dr. Mary J. Lomax-Ghirarduzzi frames reparations for the descents of enslaved persons in the United States as a spiritual issue that requires social action. She has advanced equity and social justice as a professor and leader in California higher education for thirty years. The COVID-19 outbreak led to major disruptions in food systems across the globe. In the United States’ Chicago region, the outbreak created immediate concerns around increased hunger, food insecurity, supply chain disruptions, and loss of local livelihoods. This was especially evident in communities of color, which faced disproportionate impacts from the pandemic. In March 2020, the Chicago Food Policy Action Council (CFPAC) coordinated a Rapid Response Effort that convened people in working groups related to emergency food assistance, local food producers, small businesses, and food system workers to address urgent needs that arose due to the pandemic.
