This identifies existing programs utilized for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) within the professions of fire, ambulance, and law enforcement, as well as dispatchers of these services in local municipalities, state, and federal governments. PTSD is commonly associated with military personnel; however, this mental illness impacts a far greater population including emergency first responders. The development and permit approval process for the City of North Richland Hills (NRH) was explored with regard to the review process for development proposals, platting, and building permits. Currently, the city conducts a multi-departmental approach to review and approve the aforementioned, as well as other permits. The City of North Richland Hills is situated eleven miles northeast of Fort Worth in the heart of the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex. NRH is completely within Tarrant County and has a contiguous city limit without extraterritorial jurisdiction. This means NRH cannot annex additional land. Program Coordinator Victoria Mendoza of the Carrollton - Farmers Branch ISD requested a comprehensive evaluation of the Farmers Branch Elementary and Vivian Field Middle School Mentoring Program and its impact on student achievement. The program is in its fifth year of operation and has served approximately 185 students. In 2012 this agreement will require the sexually oriented businesses to close down and move out of Kennedale.
