Traditional medicine has been the dominant healthcare system in Africa before westernization, civilization and colonialism. For people living in the rural areas, traditional medicine is easily available, accessible and affordable. The purpose of this paper is to examine how the cultural way of the life of Africans has contributed to the emergence and development of traditional therapeutic systems in the continent. By explaining the way Africans perceive illness and disease, this paper argues that various forms of healing were predicated on the sociocultural environment of the people. Social marginalization and isolation of target populations are growing areas of concern for policy administrators. African American Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (AA LGBT) individuals are not permitted full political, economic, or moral citizenship and thus are in society but not completely of it. African American men between the ages of 18-35 years are increasingly likely to die during arrests by police under the purview of procedural practices. Using procedural justice and critical race theory as the foundation, the purpose of this correlational study was to evaluate the statistical relationship between procedural justice, consent to police authority, and certain demographic characteristics including socioeconomic status and age in a large Metropolitan area in the southern United States. This study tells the deep, rich story of Evelyn T. Butts, a grassroots civil rights champion in Norfolk, Virginia, whose bridge leadership style can teach and inspire new generations about political, community, and social change. Butts used neighbor-to-neighbor skills to keep her community connected with the national civil rights movement, which had heavily relied on grassroots leaders—especially women—for much of its success in overthrowing America’s Jim Crow system of segregation and suppression. Energy systems are complex, and this complexity requires diverse regulatory forms and strategies of management. Michigan’s energy system is situated within a multi-scalar governance structure reaching from national to local levels. As a result, the process of energy system decision-making can leave out smaller, remote communities and those without the economic, political, and knowledge capital necessary to engage in complex bureaucratic processes. A civic frame raises the stakes for training components such as listening or diversity and puts the benefits of corporate social responsibility and similar efforts into practice in training contexts. งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะการให้ความหมายและการตีความของคำว่า “ความสุขในการทำงาน” และศึกษาแนวทางในการสร้างความสุข รวมถึงศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการรับรู้เกี่ยวกับลักษณะวัฒนธรรมองค์การกับทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับความสุขและแนวทางในการสร้างความสุขในการทำงานของพนักงานประจำสำนักงานบริษัทบรรจุภัณฑ์แห่งหนึ่ง โดยการศึกษาในครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาแบบผสมผสานทั้งเชิงปริมาณและคุณภาพ ซึ่งเชิงปริมาณได้ศึกษาจากประชากรกลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 117 คน โดยเก็บข้อมูลจากแบบสอบถาม นำมาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ (Correlation Coefficient) ในส่วนการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ ผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth Interview) แบบไม่มีโครงสร้าง โดยใช้วิธีการเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง (Purposive sampling) จากแผนกที่แตกต่างกันทั้งสิ้น 7 แผนก เพื่อนำมาใช้ประกอบการศึกษาวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง มีอายุระหว่าง 31-40 ปี มีระดับการศึกษาปริญญาตรีหรือเทียบเท่า โดยมีรายได้อยู่ที่ 20,001-30,000 บาทต่อเดือน และมีอายุงานระหว่าง 0-5 ปีและส่วนใหญ่เห็นว่าสายงานค่อนข้างตรงกับการศึกษาของตน โดยฝ่ายที่ร่วมมือในการตอบแบบสอบถามมากที่สุดได้แก่ฝ่ายตรวจสอบคุณภาพ 2) พนักงานมีการรับรู้เกี่ยวกับลักษณะของวัฒนธรรมองค์การโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด 3) พนักงานมีทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับความสุขในการทำงานโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด 4) พนักงานมีพฤติกรรมตามแนวทางในการสร้างความสุขในการทำงานของ สสส.โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก 5) การรับรู้เกี่ยวกับลักษณะของวัฒนธรรมองค์การมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับความสุขในการทำงาน 6) การรับรู้เกี่ยวกับลักษณะของวัฒนธรรมองค์การมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับแนวทางการสร้างความสุขในการทำงาน

For decades, Medicaid has been the largest public health insurance program for low-income individuals in the United States. The Affordable Care Act, signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010, significantly changed eligibility requirements for Medicaid, expanding coverage to all low-income adults at or below 138% of the Federal Poverty Level. On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius that the Affordable Care Act’s Medicaid expansion was unconstitutionally coercive but ruled that states remain eligible for expansion if they so choose. This chapter analyzes the experiences with tolling in the Hampton Roads region of Southeastern Virginia to better understand residents' and drivers' support for tolls and behavioral responses to tolls. The Hampton Roads region, with its population of 1.7 million and extensive network of highways, roads, bridges, and tunnels, has a long history of toll facilities that date back to the 1920s.
