It was the purpose of this study reported herein to evaluate three different methods of teaching motor skills in children: (1) the Laissez-Faire or minimum instruction method; (2) the addition of a rhythmic nursery song to minimum instruction; and (3) directive speech added in the form of song to concentrate attention and synchronize the action with words describing that action.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of month of birth to intelligence through scores made on C. L. Thurstoneis American Council on Education Psychological Examination by the entering freshmen of Kansas State Teachers College, Pittsburg, Kansas. Through statistical analysis, the observed differences in means for months were found to be statistically significant, and the differences present probably due to factors other than chance. In the sample used, June was the most favorable month of birth and the seasons of moderate temperature seemed more favorable for birth than seasons of extreme temperature. One of the many causes of personality problems is the feeling of rejection. It may result in the individual's becoming hypersensitive, resentful, or demanding, particularly if this experience has occurred in the impressionable age of youth. It is my purpose in this paper to set forth some of the symptoms and responses that occur in the individual who has this feeling, and what avenues are open in the treatment of such maladjusted individuals.

It was the purpose of this study: (1) to ascertain the amount and distribution of mental ability and scholastic achievement of the seventh-grade pupils of La Porte Junior High School, (2) to learn the degree to which these pupils were adjusted in self and social relationships, (3) to find existing relationships among achievement, intelligence, and personality adjustment as measured by standardized tests, and (4) to analyze the personality maladjustment that seemed present.

The purpose of this study is evaluating the relationship between resistance training and its effects on obese adolescents with the purpose of reducing physical inactivity. One method includes improving strength in obese children through strength exercises. As well as the effectiveness of resistance training on psychological components such as self-efficacy, exercise competence, and self-esteem as a means of increasing long term exercise adherence.
