Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP), menjadi lembaga yang turut menciptakan pemilu yang demokratis, berkualitas dan berintegritas. Sebagai lembaga baru yang terlibat dalam penyelenggaraan pemilu, DKPP dibebankan dengan banyak kasus sengketa etika pemilu pada babak baru sejarah pemilu daerah serentak di Indonesia Tahun 2015. Penelitian ini mengambil lokus di Jawa Barat sebagai salah satu daerah yang menyelenggarakan pemilu serentak di Tahun 2015 yang memiliki 26 dugaan pelanggaran etik yang ditangani oleh DKPP. Evaluasi kinerja didasarkan pada penggunaan enam wewenang DKPP yang dinilai dengan prinsip-prinsip pemilu berintegritas. Penerapan mekanisme Direct Popular Checks dinilai akan menjadi solusi bagi permasalahan lembaga legislatif daerah Kota Malang dalam penyerapan aspirasi maupun peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembuatan peraturan daerah. Etika penyelenggara pemilu telah diatur dengan Peraturan Bersama di mana ketika peraturan itu dilanggar, maka penyelenggara pemilu itu dapat diberi sanksi sampai yang terberat: pemberhentian tetap. Liberal democracy has been chosen as a model and political mechanism after Soeharto era. One of its triumphs is local election that becomes a political instrument of democratisation at regional level. Many scholars believe that local democratisation in Indonesia enables local people to involve more actively in the political process. Problem revitalisasi hutan kota dan upaya penyediaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) oleh Pemerintah di wilayah perkotaan pada dasarnya merupakan satu kajian baru di bidang politik lingkungan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini secara khusus mengkaji kebijakan revitalisasi Hutan Kota Malabar di Kota Malang dengan pisau analisis anthroposentrisme dan ekosentrisme. Simultaneous local election 2017 which was held in February 15th, 2017 remains an interesting political phenomenon. From 101 areas (province, municipality, and city) that held local elections, there are 9 (nine) areas whose local election consist of single candidate. The most interesting case is Local Election in Pati. Compared with other eight areas, the amount of votes gained by “kotak kosong” in Local Election in Pati is the highest among the others. In several literatures of Indonesian political thought, the ideas of socialism has been claimed as the doctrine came from and influenced by western political thought. On the other side, Islam political thought has been seemed as the doctrine came from Indonesia traditional heritages. These view was rejected by H.O.S. Tjokroaminoto who argues that socialism has been established and flourished inthe Islamic tradition before it was developed in the West. This article tries to describe H.O.S. The democratization process accelerates the development of civil societies sector in these countries. Democratization phenomena and development of civil society in both countries are an interesting object to be studied in the perspective of comparative politics. This paper aims to accurately describe democratization process and the development of civil society in both countries so that it can be compared at the level of theory and reality.
