This research is aimed to see the accuracy of “al” particle among the Malay students. In this research, the writer gave the definition of what the particle is, and explained in detail the types and its functions. There are many types of particles in the Arabic language but this research only focuses on the “al” particle and its main semantic aspect such as the determinant particle, the connection particle and the additional particle.
