OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate how our archives embody the school’s mission.

METHODS: The importance of the artifacts will be revealed through relating the stories behind and significance of artifacts to the school’s history and mission. Included will be paintings, statuary, Mace, logo, bowls, symbols of presidency, publications, and special print collection. The story will be told through interviews with long term members of the school’s faculty and staff.

Purpose: Costs for Preston Medical Library’s primary point-of-care (POC) clinical tool have increased to half of the acquisitions budget, while user affiliation data have not been provided to facilitate cost sharing. In response, user preferences for POC tools were analyzed to determine a viable, less expensive alternative to the current subscription.

OBJECTIVE Meeting faculty and students where they are is a challenge for libraries on any given day. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, library outreach took a drastic hit as campuses closed and users went remote. Traditional outreach often relies on serendipitous in-person interactions as users ask for assistance with resources and research. Methods: Library staff reached out to a local community center with the intention of introducing the health professions to students in the community. The library scheduled medical, pharmacy and physical therapy students to do unique classes for different ages of children. This case study of using a webinar series as a library marketing technique shares the process, communications, and assessment results from a well-attended online event, “Summer of Citations.” An in-person citation management software workshop for graduate students by librarians at a small midwestern private university served as a springboard for the series. Targeted to faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate honors students, the Zoom-based, 45-minute sessions covered a different product on each of three successive days. A common structure for each presentation, along with the use of Springshare modules for registration and assessment, facilitated the event’s rapid production and easy replication.

Academic librarians often need to deal with copyright issues at their institutions while handling information resources, and they must have a clear understanding of copyright laws, practices, and its implications. This paper examines the copyright trends in India, and librarian’s familiarity with copyright laws and sources consulted to acquire copyright education. Copyright registrations in India are constantly increasing and copyright infringement cases are gradually decreasing. The study has shown impressive results that the majority of academic librarians (90.70%) are aware of copyright laws and their practice. Navigating healthcare infrastructures is particularly challenging for queer-identifying individuals, with significant barriers emerging around stigma and practitioner ignorance. Further intersecting, historically marginalised identities such as one’s race, age or ability exacerbate such engagement with healthcare, particularly the access to and use of reliable and appropriate health information. We explore the salience of one’s queer identity relative to other embodied identities when navigating health information and care for themselves and their communities. Thirty semi-structured interviews with queer community leaders from South Carolina inform our discussion of the role one’s queer visibility plays relational to the visibility of other identities.
