This study examined the challenges of information literacy skills capacity building for the lawmakers in the South West Nigeria. Survey method was adopted for this using questionnaire as instrument for data collection. 177 legislators participated from the six states of assembly in South-West Nigeria through total enumeration to determine the number of lawmakers in the study. Objective: The references are an important component of citation analysis. In this study, it is aimed to determine the reference analysis of Iranian Medical English Journals (IMEJ) based on WOS, Scopus and PubMed journal selection criteria.

Methods: This study is a descriptive quantitative analysis which deals with the last issues of 52 numbers of IMEJ which haven't been indexed in WOS, Scopus, and PubMed. The data were collected observing the journals data provider websites and then entered into a checklist tool. MS Excel software was used for data analysis.

Purpose

The purpose of this study is to investigate the awareness level of librarians about various ICT applications in University of the Punjab (PU) and to examine the constraints and issues they are facing in acquisition of modern ICT skills.

Methodology

A questionnaire was developed and administered to 80 professional librarians having graduate and postgraduate qualification. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 19.0).

Findings

Faculty Response To Deselection In Academic Libraries: A Psycholinguistic Analysis, Ann Agee

Deselection is a necessary but politically sensitive part of an academic librarian's responsibilities. To provide an overview of the emotional dynamics involved in weeding an academic collection, this article analyzes editorials, articles, and book chapters chronicling faculty response to weeding from a psycholinguistic viewpoint. Using computer-based text analysis, these accounts are examined for the amount and type of emotional content they contain. These findings provide a template for what librarians can expect when beginning a deselection process and point to best practices for working effectively with faculty to create a robust and healthy collection.

This literature review addresses the issues surrounding accessibility of culturally diverse children’s literature in libraries, including the importance of making diverse literature accessible, the availability of such titles on the market, library collection development of diverse books, and selection criteria among children. Nigerian literature has focused more on the general concept of e-resources without dedicated attention to e-books. This work takes a critical look at the challenges related to e-books collection and management in Nigerian universities. The study was conducted among six federal universities in Nigeria; one from each geo-political zone of the federation. A survey research design was utilized to carry out the study with structured interview conducted for system librarians of the six university libraries. While there is proliferation of e-books in the libraries, absence of local titles, budgeting, consortium and awareness of DRM issues remain obvious challenges.

This paper explore the actual use of the physical space in Kenneth Dike Library by the students' population, the role these spaces are playing for learning and for related services in the university of Ibadan academic environment. It looked at the suitability of available spaces and suggestions for improvement. Survey method was adopted for the study with 94.5% response rate. It found that quite study is what attract majority respondents to Kenneth Dike Library. What emerged was that academic pursuits remain the most common activity in the library space.
