The scholarly and practice literature on communication strategies reveals the importance of both strategically crafted message content and a multilevel messaging process that reaches all stakeholders and potential supporters. This chapter describes how Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries developed and implemented a visioning, advocacy, and communications strategy in support of a major library construction initiative. The successful effort led VCU Libraries’ disparate communities to embrace and support a distinctive, award-winning library design that departed both from architectural practice at the university and from initial expectations for library buildings among stakeholder communities.

Memes, or image macros, have become a standard method of digital information sharing. This is especially true during times when current events ignite a heightened desire for information seeking among students. Memes can be sources of misinformation, such as during events of the past decade, including recent presidential elections, social justice movements such as Black Lives Matter, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Librarians need to address this format in their information literacy teachings. Cataloging librarians make myriad choices every day as they create the metadata necessary for information retrieval. Each record represents an interaction between the cataloger and the systems they work within and, sometimes, against. Their work is highly constrained by standardized machine-readable fields and codes, controlled subject terms, and classification schema. In the exploratory research project Catalogers at Work, the authors use sound recording to reveal the complex yet hidden negotiations embedded in library catalog records.

This research sought to investigate the roles of libraries in preventing wars, as well as students' sources of war information, trust and the likelihood of future world war. A descriptive survey design was used in the investigation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Of the 295 survey respondents, Instagram was found as the most preferred source of information on wars while libraries were the least source. When it came to war information, traditional news channels, libraries, and other social media platforms were considered to be trustworthy. Queens Memory is a local community archiving project co-administered by the Queens Public Library and Queens College Library. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Queens Memory embarked on a collaborative series of online programs that covered social justice, current events, and the creation of social change. This programming built upon ongoing community oral history and documentation efforts. This article explores how the public programs and oral history initiatives fueled one another, serving to uplift diverse voices within our communities and preserve those voices in the archives. Key ingredients of the programs are discussed, including technology, outreach, collaboration, consent, and format.

The present paper identifies and presents a visual analysis of Research Data Management (RDM) literature published by Indian researchers and indexed in Scopus – the bibliographic and citation database. The researchers have used standard bibliometric methods of measurements to conduct the study such as Bradford’s law, Lotka’s law and Zipf’s Law among other parameters. The study findings indicate that India is rapidly focusing on RDM with its contribution of 136 publications to the global output of 4929 publications over a period of 1945 to 2021, ranking 12^th globally.
