The websites of 71 US research universities were the source of data on the relationship of academic libraries and campus writing centers, which provide support for developing written communication skills. All 71 institutions have writing centers, generally administered by the academic success operation, the English department, or a college such as arts and sciences. Just under half (n=35) of the institutions have a writing center located in the library. In 16 of those institutions, the library is the only location of the writing center. A concurrent mixed-method technique was used and a structured questionnaire was designed to collect the data and in-depth interviews from 12 academic librarians of the capital cities of four provinces of Pakistan. The study investigated the impact of web search engines for digital reference services in academic libraries in Sokoto. A descriptive survey design was used for the study. The study used all the professional librarians on seat of the academic libraries (27) for the study. In 2014, Springshare introduced a new LibGuides layout option. In addition to the traditional horizontally-tabbed layout (top navigation), LibGuides designers now have the option of vertically-arrayed tabs on the upper left-hand side of the page (side 10 navigation). Like the university hosting this study, schools have, to varying degrees, shifted their LibGuides toward side navigation and away from top navigation. In the spring of 2021, the Tredway Library at Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) implemented an audit of the library's print book collection to see if there were gaps in representation of the voices of authors of differing races/ ethnicities; genders; or sexual orientations. With the results of this audit, Augustana librarians now have a better understanding of which voices and perspectives are missing and/or underrepresented in the print collection. This toolkit is intended to assist other libraries / information organizations in undertaking similar diversity audits of their own.

This case study of using a webinar series as a library marketing technique shares the process, communications, and assessment results from a well-attended online event, “Summer of Citations.” An in-person citation management software workshop for graduate students by librarians at a small midwestern private university served as a springboard for the series. Targeted to faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate honors students, the Zoom-based, 45-minute sessions covered a different product on each of three successive days. A common structure for each presentation, along with the use of Springshare modules for registration and assessment, facilitated the event’s rapid production and easy replication.

Purpose – The purpose of the research is to explore library patrons' and leaders' perspectives regarding the key challenges facing during COVID-19 and issues to be addressed in managing libraries in the UAE.

Design/methodology/approach– The researchers collected 300 patrons' and 50 library leaders' opinions by administering two types of questionnaires that tested its reliability and validity by implementing Cronbach Alpha and Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) tests. The collected data were analyzed using the R language in R Studio Software. The selected hypotheses were tested by employing the Kruskal-Wallis (K-W) hypotheses technique.
