Primary and secondary schools have many times been left behind, yet schools’ records management also matters. Using the ARMA International’s Information Governance Maturity Model, this study assesses how Mufakose 4 Secondary School in Zimbabwe fared in its records management programme with special focus on the eight principles of the ARMA International’s Information Governance Maturity Model, that is, accountability, transparency, integrity, protection, compliance, availability, retention and disposition. Despite comics' popularity and cultural significance in Italy, its integration into Italian libraries has been slow, problematic, and uneven. This is reflected in the scarcity of academic research on the topic, which demands further in-depth exploration.

In the context of Italian libraries, characterized by chronic underfunding and staffing shortages, comics might be perceived as a low priority. However, as essential cultural institutions, libraries must strive to reflect both the contemporary era and the evolving reading habits of their audience. In early 2021, the Schusterman Library at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa satellite campus took a new step towards building a culture of interest by creating the Graphic Scholarship Collection. This new endeavor is a curated collection of graphic novels, primarily non-fiction, aligned with the academic programs on campus, as well as promoting University initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Rowan University wanted a single, streamlined point of access to information about research activity by all our faculty. The Technology Services Librarian proposed leveraging our ORCID membership to integrate faculty research information in ORCID with university identity management services. Information Resources & Technology (IRT) worked with the Division of Research and the Libraries to design and implement a solution that achieved this goal.

In recent years, there has been increased interest from faculty and graduate students at many colleges and universities in performing systematic reviews (SR) and evidence synthesis. How are libraries supporting these efforts? The presenters researched and compared the types of SR support services provided by its peers, aspirant peers, and notable R1 and R2 institutions with established SR services. This information is expected to help determine and shape the types of SR support services to provide at Montclair State University, and would likely be helpful for others interested in supporting these types of reviews on their respective campuses.

Modern information technology has led to significant changes in how libraries operate. This study examined how library services are provided in the age of the internet at Mountain Top University Library. It adopted a descriptive survey method, and 200 participants were chosen at random for the study. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from the sampled population. Data analysis was done using SPSS, and the results were presented in a percentage and frequency table. This article provides an example of the successful integration of text and data mining (TDM) into the Research Methods for Performers course, a required course for students in the Keyboard Collaborative Arts (KCA) Master of Music (MM) program at Chapman University. This course is similar in scope and content to the course frequently titled Music Bibliography at other institutions, and the methods described also apply to such courses. Japanese library policy during the post-war occupation was primarily driven by the Civil Information and Education Section (CIE) of the GHQ/SCAP. Donald B. Brown was a head of the Information Division of CIE, in charge of occupational media policy. He had experience as a journalist of The Japan Advertiser in 1930s and as an analyst in the Office of War Information (OWI) in early 1940s. He led the dissemination of democratic ideas in the media sector, publicizing the purpose of occupation to the general public, and eliminating militarism/non-democratic ideas. As Joanna Drucker (2014) convincingly argues, “Most information visualizations are acts of interpretation masquerading as presentation" (p. 10). This article investigates the visuality and built-in argumentations of the Alvin interface for digitized Swedish cultural heritage, focusing on how the platform defines a document and the effects this definition has on the accessibility and interconnectedness of documents related to lesbian and feminist histories. An introduction to the life and work of Robert Pagès (1919–2007), French social psychology researcher and theorist of documentation. From 1946 to 1948 Pagès was a student in the program in documentation directed by Suzanne Briet that later became the Institut National des Techniques de Documentation (INTD). A 1947 thesis was published in 1948 as an article entitled “Transformations documentaires et milieu culturel” (Documentary transformations and cultural context). It received little attention until recently. Powerful Particulars As “Autodocuments” In Documentality, Ronald E. Day

The purpose of this short paper is to sketch the problem of whether documentality, in the sense of the appearance of evidence, must always take the form of a type-token relationship. In contrast to a type-token epistemology common in the Library and Information Science tradition, the paper argues that there is precedence for a theory of documentality that views evidentiality as a product of the powers of particulars to make themselves present. To make this argument, it appeals to Robert Pagès theory of documents and, over a half century later, Bernd Frohmann’s proposal for a philosophy of information, “Documentality.” Such …

Its organization is a massive endeavor for the Saudi government. This research analyzes the Hajj-related E-Government service systems (websites and mobile apps). This research utilizes a multi-attribute evaluative framework to address two areas of Hajj E-Government services: usability (RQ1) and interaction with the services (RQ2). It examines the influences of gender, age, genre preferences, the frequency of book borrowing, and language modality of instruction, all within the context of the elementary school library. This collection contains material documenting Miriam Howard Stearns’ life at Bridgewater Normal School (BNS) during her time of study from 1921-1924, and later life after BNS. Included are her student notebooks and classwork from the Kindergarten Primary (K-P) program; club materials related to the Glee Club, Women’s Athletic Organization (W.A.A.), and Beta Gamma Sorority; photographs of her K-P classes, friends, her father Louis C. Stearns, and campus facilities; and handmade K-P instruction books. Many items reflect major school events, such as Initiation Day, the 1924 campus fire, class reunions, 1940s centennials, and aspects of student life through photographs and pamphlets.

Beyond housing physical collections, library space holds a special significance and fulfills a vital need in the community to which it belongs. In studying Library as Place, three qualities of libraries emerge that are also deeply rooted in the Christian tradition: scholarship, silence, and hospitality. An exploration of these traditions demonstrates how libraries provide spaces for these practices to flourish.

Introduction: Faculty face numerous pressures as they decide whether to publish articles open access (OA). This pilot study investigated the extent to which School of Education faculty members’ engagement with OA was influenced by promotion and tenure (P&T) and how this influence related to other intrinsic, extrinsic, and contextual factors. Methods: This exploratory, sequential, mixed-method study adapted Social Exchange Theory to understand faculty engagement with OA article publication. The study used a quantitative survey followed by qualitative interviews and focus groups.

Results: Participants reported that P&T had substantive influence over faculty practices regarding OA. Con- nected factors included beliefs about …
