A comparative study was performed based on scientific metrics for the year 2019 for the top 100 open access journals (OAJ) extracted from the web of science. The considered bibliometric indicators are Journal Impact Factor (JIF), Eugene Factor Score (ES), Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR), Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP), Cite Score (CS), Google Scholar (GS), and H5 index. This study shows that journals have different ranks compared with their metrics of the various scientific indicators. Correlations were explained by applying Pearson's and spearman's statistical correlation using SPSS software 21.0 packages. Spearman's Pearson's (r) statistical correlation was found between JIF …

The study’s main purpose was to map Cerebral Palsy (CP), a bibliometric analysis of the highly cited research output, 1990-2020. The web of science database was used to retrieve all records related to CP. The Impact Factor of the reviews has been taken from the 2019 issue of Clarivate Analytics’ Journal Citation Report (JCR), named IF2019. The Hirsch Index (h-Index) has been compiled from the most active writers and organizations database. In this study, we attempted to analyse the quantitative growth of open access publications on library and information science education research. The literature data obtained from Scopus database and scientometrics methods were deployed to analyse the publications originated during 2011-2020. The renewal of archival theory since the 1990s has drawn upon the abstract and functional qualities of records, while their material aspects have been more or less excluded from theoretical discourse. Even if an emerging interest in materiality could be noticed, its impact and conceptual implications still need to be elucidated. Medline Search Retrieval Issues: A Longitudinal Query Analysis Of Five Vendor Platforms, C. Sean Burns, Tyler Nix, Robert M. Shapiro Ii, Jeffrey T. Huber

This study compared the results of data collected from a longitudinal query analysis of the MEDLINE database hosted on multiple platforms that include PubMed, EBSCOHost, Ovid, ProQuest, and Web of Science. The goal was to identify variations among the search results on the platforms after controlling for search query syntax. We devised twenty-nine cases of search queries comprised of five semantically equivalent queries per case to search against the five MEDLINE database platforms. During COVID-19, University of North Florida’s Thomas G. Carpenter Library quickly expanded its social media content in order to better reach students, faculty, and staff, all of whom suddenly found themselves working and learning remotely. The Carpenter Library’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts (@unflibrary) quickly became the face of the library, whereas in the past they had merely supported outreach, promotion, and advocacy. By transitioning in-person programs to virtual formats, focusing on supportive and uplifting campaigns, and harnessing interactive modes of communication like Instagram Stories and video, outreach staff increased and maintained the library’s online following while also creating a …

This program presents the result of an IMLS-funded, mixed-methods study that investigated the scholarly communication programming and staffing priorities among M1 (Master's Colleges and Universities – Larger programs) libraries. Using a complex research life cycle to frame discussion, twenty librarians from M1 institutions participated in focus groups and provided structured information on their libraries' scholarly communication program, development, and staffing. The paper examines the bibliographic data of 1436 documents published by the University of North Bengal and retrieves the data for a span of ten years, which was indexed in the Scopus database from 2011 to 2020 on various parameters. The average number of documents published per year was 143.6. The highest number of publications 166 was published in 2020, while the lowest number of publications was 108 in 2011. The study explores the adoption of Koha ILMS in the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) and Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IITBBS). The particular study researcher adopted the survey method and questionnaire tool used for data collection. The finding of the study shows both institutes are using commercial software before adopting Koha. Institutes migrate their data from old ILMS to Koha; Only IITBBS faces data quality problems during migration. Almost all of Koha modules have well received by both institutes. Since modern librarians are urged to acquire technological skills, thus objectives of this study are; 1) to examine whether or not the acquisition of such skills affects their generic job satisfaction (GJS) and; 2) to identify the training needs. To this end, twelve research hypotheses were formulated indicating the relationship of technology skills with GJS. The findings revealed significant effects of technology functional and professional skills on GJS and accordingly, all hypotheses (H1-H12) are supported.
