From medicine to medieval studies, there is a growing trend of ideologically motivated individuals and groups misappropriating and mischaracterizing academic research and even intimidating researchers to further political agendas. It is essential that researchers be well prepared in the event that their research gets unwanted attention. The study investigated the influence of academic qualification on librarians' proficiency of new media technologies in selected university libraries in North-Eastern Nigeria. This paper uses a qualitative methodology to explore the perceptions of academic librarian on the definition of lifelong learning and their roles in supporting lifelong learning. Existing research on the topic was aligned to the emergent educational model of heutagogy to identify key concepts including self-directed learning, learner agency, and the impact of technology. The purpose of the study was to assess the correlation between four bibliometric indicators (Impact Factor-IF, Eigenfactor Score-ES, SCImago Journal Rank-SJR, and H5 index) of typical online medical journals were selected from the medical group. In the Fall of 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic raged throughout the world, educational institutions pivoted to online learning and supporting services, especially those found in academic libraries, adjusted. To better understand measures taken by academic libraries in Canada and the United States, the Association of College & Research Libraries’ (ACRL) Value of Academic Libraries (VAL) committee formed a subcommittee to examine how academic libraries adjusted and provided services to their respective institutions during COVID-19 pandemic. Worldwide, faculty members mostly use EIS for teaching, learning, research, and professional development. Though, evidence is lacking to address the EIS preferences among the academicians of private sector universities in the study context. To fill this gap, using a convenient sample technique, a survey was conducted, and a structured questionnaire was used as a data collection tool from 630 permanent faculty members of private sector universities at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A total of 360 questionnaires were administrated, and 250 useable responses were received with a response rate of 69.44%. Due to rapid smartphone health application growth and usage, we analyzed literature published in the field of spHealth Apps. SciVerse Scopus was used as the database of choice for this study. Research productivity, collaborations, citation analysis, authors and institutions were presented using well established bibliometric indicators.

This case study discusses an archival consulting project to document and preserve hidden collections in rural northern California. The paper provides an overview of the collecting institution (the Mother Lode Land Trust), the collections and their historical context, and the consulting process.
