From the organizational perspective, the concept of creativity can be thought of as a new design for improving and enhancing the quantity or quality of activities. Few studies have been conducted on the employee organizational creativity and its relationship with information literacy standards (which is one of the essential requirements for creativity). The University Archives Department at Indiana State University (ISU) assists faculty, students, and the public by providing access to and preservation of primary resources and ISU history. Despite the resources and services available, archival holdings are often underused and receive few donations from students and student organizations. These students are often unaware of the function and uses of the archives. To address these concerns, Special Collections staff have created a website utilizing the Omeka platform called STATE-IT to engage students with the University Archives. Much has been written about Next Generation (or, NextGen) catalogs and their implications for searching and retrieval. The NextGen ideal moves beyond a discovery layer or federated search to approach a single database offering seamless access to all library resources. The purpose of this study is to explore the direct and indirect factors underlying the students’ challenges with the use of online information resources in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and propose the implications of these challenges. This study used qualitative descriptive inductive content analysis that enabled the researchers to reveal who said what with respect to the research questions. In this paper, the author examines the importance of digital marketing in libraries across the United States. As patrons become more technologically savvy, libraries are tasked with expanding their presence to digital landscapes. One way to do so is to implement simple and effective digital campaigns. This step can ensure ensure libraries remain relevant and indispensable to the patrons they serve. Marketing, once thought to be an unnecessary expense for libraries, is fast becoming a necessity. This paper explores different contemporary views on digital marketing in libraries.

The Society of American Archivists Congressional Papers Section formed the CSS/CMS Task Force in August 2016 to study the issue of constituent correspondence management systems, and this report addresses the ongoing development and use of constituent services data in Congress; the vendors, systems, and functionality; and the obstacles faced by collecting repositories. It provides an overview of research conducted with analog constituent correspondence and the vast potential for research with constituent data. This paper describes a three-year long collaborative project between a science librarian, a biology professor and a physical therapy professor to improve information literacy in an undergraduate biology laboratory course. The authors used Bernard J. Lonergan’s Generalized Empirical Method (GEM) as a cognitional framework, emphasizing the role of experience, understanding, judgement and action in conducting research. They focused on the selection, integration and citation of scholarly articles in formal laboratory reports. The science librarian became embedded in the course, delivering information literacy instruction sessions, grading and providing feedback on the use of information sources in the lab reports. The Anchor: 2017

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Academic libraries in the United States are increasingly adopting liaison models in order to increase their impact across the campus community. Through the evolution of this model, librarians must negotiate the new landscape for providing information literacy instruction to diverse and specialized populations. In order to adapt to specific departmental needs, while maintaining learning outcomes within the ACRL Framework, liaisons must design a systems for assessing how best to ensure all needs are addressed. Peer mentoring establishes a community of practice that will guide strategic planning while maintaining continual reflection and revision of the information literacy program.

Best Practices for Cataloging DVD-video and Blu-ray Discs Using RDA and MARC21 builds upon the work of the 2008 Guide to Cataloging DVD and Blu-ray Discs Using AACR2r and MARC21, which in turn updated the 2002 Guide to Cataloging DVDs Using AACR2r Chapters 7 and 9 created by the DVD Cataloging Task Force of OLAC.

The focus of this new document is to provide a set of “best practice” recommendations rather than a step-by-step instruction manual for cataloging DVD-video and Blu-ray Discs. One reason for this shift is that RDA cataloging practice is far from settled, particularly in regard …
