การประมวลสารนิเทศในรูปแบบคู่มือ: การวางแผนและการออกแบบ Information Repackaging In Manual Format: A Plan And Design, เกสรี ประคำทอง

การประมวลสารนิเทศให้อยู่ในรูปแบบคู่มือมีลักษณะพิเศษซึ่งแตกต่างจากการประมวลสารนิเทศในรูปแบบอื่น ๆ เพราะ จำเป็นต้องมีการวิเคราะห์อย่างเป็นระบบและถ่ายทอดอย่างเป็นระเบียบ เพื่อตอบสนองวัตถุประสงค์ของผู้ใช้ที่ต้องการใช้คู่มือ เป็นแหล่งอ้างอิงในการปฏิบัติงานหรือใช้งาน ก่อนผลิตคู่มือจึงต้องมีการวางแผนและการออกแบบให้รอบด้านและเหมาะสม ตั้งแต่การศึกษาผู้ใช้ การกำหนดลักษณะทางกายภาพและทางเนื้อหา การออกแบบเค้าโครงหน้ำระดาษ การใช้ภาพประกอบเพื่อให้คู่มือมีคุณภาพ ใช้งานได้จริง Information repackaging in manual format is unique from other formats since it requires systematic analyzing and organized synthesizing in order to meet user’s need of reference materials for working on tasks or tasks or using products. Therefore, there should be a well rounded and suitable plan before producing a manual. The plan should cover user study, physical and content characteristics, page layout, writing styles and using illustration to improve the quality and practicality of the manuals.

The Value Of The Curriculum Center's Mission Statement: Meeting The Needs Of Evolving Teacher Education, Julie L. Miller, Nadean Meyer
Scholarship and Professional Work
This chapter explores the value of creating a mission statement to help redefine the academic library's curriculum center in the context of the current dynamic teacher education environment. The mission statement and related texts, such as vision, values, and guiding principle statements, define the purpose of the center for its constituents. It acts as a bridge between communities of practice and organizations, demonstrating the relationship of the center to the teacher education program, the academic library, and the college or university. Most importantly, the mission statement provides guidance for making policy and procedure decisions that are proactive. In an evolving …

การพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย, ทรงพล หนูบ้านเกาะ, พิมพ์รำไพ เปรมสมิทธ์
วารสารบรรณารักษศาสตร์ (Library Science Journal)
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยในด้าน การระบุ ความต้องการ การวางแผนการพัฒนา การจัดกิจกรรมการพัฒนา การประเมินผล และปัญหาในการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยในด้าน นโยบาบ งบประมาณ บุคลากร และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก โดยใช้แบบสอบถามในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้บริหารของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย จำนวน 115 แห่ง ซึ่งได้รับกลับคืนมา 95 แห่ง (ร้อยละ 82.91) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยส่วนใหญ่กำหนดนโยบายการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์เป็นลายลักษณ์อักษร โดยห้องสมุดจำนวนมากที่สุด กำหนดนโยบายในเรื่องทักษะการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารนิเทศ ศึกษาและรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการสังเกตพฤติกรรมการปฏิบัติงาน วิเคราะห์ความต้องการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์จากปัจจัยภายนอกที่มีผลกระทบต่อห้องสมุดกำหนดเนื้อหาการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ด้านงานบริการในแผนงานประจำปี ใช้รูปแบบการทำแผนพัฒนาเป็นทีม กิจกรรมพัฒนาทั้งภายในห้องสมุดและภายนอกของห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่ คือ การประชุม/สัมมนา และประเมินผลการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์จากการปฏิบัติงานจริง รวมทั้งมีการนำผลไปใช้เพื่อการปรับปรุงการปฏิบัติงาน สำหรับปัญหาที่ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย ประสบซึ่งมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ ไม่สามารถจัดสรรงบประมาณสำหรับความต้องความต้องการของบุคลากรทุกคน The purposes of this study were 1) to examine human resource development of university libraries, in terms of, need identification, development planning, development activity and evaluation; and 2) to explore problems concerning human resource development of universitylibraries regarding librarypolicies, budgetary provisions, library staff and facilities. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาการส่งเสริมการรู้สารนิเทศสำหรับนักศึกษาในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย ในด้านมาตรฐานการรู้สารนิเทศที่ส่งเสริม หน่วยงานที่รับผิดชอบ วิธีการ และสื่อที่ใช้ในการส่งเสริมรวมถึงปัญหาในการส่งเสริมการรู้ สารนิเทศสำหรับนักศึกษาในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย การดำเนินการวิจัยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ผลการวิจัยพบว่าห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยจำนวนมากที่สุดส่งเสริมมาตรฐานการรู้สารนิเทศ มาตรฐานที่ 2 เรื่องการเข้า ถึงสารนิเทศ ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยส่วนใหญ่มีหน่วยงานเดียวที่รับผิดชอบการส่งเสริมการรู้สารนิเทศ คือ ฝ่าย/งาน บริการ ใช้วิธีการแบบเป็นทางการ คือ การปฐมนิเทศการใช้ห้องสมุด และวิธีการแบบไม่เป็นทางการ คือ การให้บริการตอบคำถามและช่วยการค้นคว้า ใช้สิ่งพิมพ์ในการส่งเสริมการรู้สารนิเทศปัญหาทีห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยประสบในการส่งเสริมการรู้สารนิทศที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ นักศึกษาไม่ให้ความสนใจในกิจกรรมที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อการส่งเสริมการรู้สารนิเทศ The purpose of this research was to study 1) the information literacy promotion for students in university libraries, in terms of, information literacy standard used, responsible department, promotion method and media used, and 2) problems in information literacy promotion. Questionnaire were used for data collection problems. การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านของเด็กที่เป็นสมาชิกอุทยานการเรียนรู้ยะลาในด้านลักษณะของกิจกรรม เนื้อหา สื่อที่ใช้ สถานที่ วันและช่วงเวลา และการเผยแพร่ข่าวสาร จัดกิจกรรม รวมทั้งปัญหาในการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านของเด็กที่เป็นสมาชิกอุทยานการเรียนรู้ยะลา โดยใช้แบบสอบถามในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเด็กที่เป็นสมาชิกอุทยานการเรียนรู้ยะลา จำนวน 257 คน ผลการวิจัย พบว่า เด็กมีความต้องการกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านทุกลักษณะในระดับ และกิจกรรมที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ กิจกรรมที่ใช้ทักษะการฟังและดู เนื้อหาของกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านที่เด็กมีความต้องการในระดับมาก และมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ ศิลปะ สื่อที่ใช้ปนะกอบการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านที่เด็กมีความต้องการในระดับมากที่สุด และมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูง สุด คือ ภาพยนตร์ สถานที่ในการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านที่เด็กมีความต้องการในระดับมาก และมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ อุทยานเรียนรู้ยะลา วันและช่วงเวลาในการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านที่เด็กมีความต้องการในระดับมาก และมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ วันอาทิตย์ ช่วงเวลาบ่าย (13.00-16.00) วิธีการเผยแพร่ข่าวสารการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านที่เด็กต้องการในระดับมาก และมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ แจกใบปลิวและแผ่นพับที่อุทยานการเรียนรู้ยะลา สำหรับปัญหาในการเข้ากิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่าน พบว่า เด็กที่เคยเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอ่านปรสบปัญหาทั้งหมดในระดับปานกลาง โดยปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ เนื้อหาของกิจกรรมไม่หลากหลาย The objectives of this research were to study children members’ needs for reading promotion activities at Thailand Knowledge Park Yala, in terms of, types of activity, subjects, reading media, place, data and time, and information dissemination on reading promotion activity; and to identify problems in participating in reading promotion activities at Thailand Knowledge …

As with other organizations in higher education, academic libraries face increasing pressure to assess their work and be more accountable for returns on investment. Although most academic library deans are subject to some type of internal performance review, a broader examination of what makes library deans and directors effective could provide valuable guidance for current and future library leaders. This article reviews some of the core theories of leadership effectiveness in the mainstream management literature and examines recent publications related to effective library leadership. Discovery tools are emerging in libraries. These tools offer library patrons the ability to concurrently search the library catalog and journal articles. While vendors rush to provide feature-rich interfaces and access to as much content as possible, librarians wonder about the usefulness of these tools to library patrons. In order to learn about both the utility and usability of EBSCO Discovery Service, James Madison University conducted a usability test with eight students and two faculty members. • Bibliometrics, the quantification of research output and productivity, offers a way for liaison librarians to learn more about the interests, impact, and specialties of departments.
