The Anchor: 2007
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Otterbein China Librarians Exchange Program Documentations and Publications
In May 2006, Jane Wu (the System Librarian at Otterbein) and Lois Szudy (the library director at Otterbein) were invited to visit five universities in China to explore the possibility of establishing an exchange program and interlibrary cooperation between Chinese academic libraries and Otterbein College. The libraries they visited included Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, Tongji University in Shanghai, Beijing Jiao Tong University Library in Beijing, Southwest Jiao Tong University in Chengdu, and Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xian. Here are Lois and Jane's presentation slides to the campus after their trip.

Special Collections and University Archives Legacy Finding Aids: All Items
David R. Carr, professor of History at USF St. Petersburg, served as a member of St. Petersburg’s comprehensive plan review committee during the early and mid-1980s. He donated his working papers and files to special collections at the Poynter Library. During the early 1980s, the eighteen elements addressed by the city’s comprehensive plan included: Land Use, Traffic Circulation, Recreation and Open Space, Conservation, Water, Sewer, Drainage, Solid Waste, Utility, Collector Street, Port and Aviation, Mass Transit, Bikeway, Housing, Coastal Zone, Intergovernmental Cooperation, Economic, and Energy. Brave New World, 2050: The Implications Of Shifting To Electronic Collections, Antje Mays
Dacus Library Faculty Publications
This futuristic article discusses the shift in academic and research libraries to electronic collections in the context of information access, costs, publication models, and preservation of content. Certain factors currently complicate the shift to electronic formats and challenge their widespread acceptance. Future scenarios spanning skill ecosystems, technologies and workflows, and societal implications are explored as logical outgrowths of present circumstances.
