Abstract
The study examined the environmental factors as correlates of use of information resources in public university libraries in Imo and Abia States, Nigeria. It was guided by three research questions and two hypotheses. Survey and linear correlational designs were adopted for the study. A sample of 379 students was drawn from a population of 32,999 registered users of the university libraries studied. The present study analyses the Journal of Information Science for the time frame 2005 to 2014. The data for the study was retrieved from the official website of the journal. The analysis of the publications was done using various parameters such as authorship pattern, Degree of Collaboration, Collaborative index, Collaborative Coefficient, Country wise share of total publications. The basic purpose of this study is to investigate the self-citations appearing in IASLIC Bulletin during 2005-2017. It was found that more than 30% of the articles carry self-citations. The rate of self-citations is 5.81% only. The per-cent of author self-citations, author/journal self-citations and journal self-citations was 53.89%, 2.59% and 43.52% respectively. There were 36 authors who had self-cited only once. The highest self-citing author was P Mukhopadhyay with 10 self-citations followed by A K Bandhopadhyay and B Roy with 8 self-citations each, all from University of Burdwan, West Bengal. Purpose
This study aims to carry out a bibliometric evaluation of articles published in Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PJPS) from 2006 to 2015. Bibliometric study determines publication pattern and identifies research trends in a field.
Design/Methodology/Approach
All articles published in PJPS during ten years were analysed using MS Excel.
Results
A total of 951 authors contributed 1172 articles to PJPS from 2006 to 2015. Eighty-six percent authors contributed only one article each. M. Saeed Arayne and Najma Sultana were the leading principal authors with 18 and 10 articles respectively. Ninety-seven percent articles were written by more than one author. …

The study analyzed the citations used by doctoral students of PWU School of Education in their dissertations that were completed from Academic Year 2007 to 2017. The study utilized bibliometrics research design for the 86 doctoral dissertations that generated 6,230 citations. Said citations were used to determine the referencing behavior of PWU School of Education doctoral students in terms of publication age, format, type, authorship, origin and the availability of cited materials. This paper examines the extent to which graduate students of the University of Ghana are aware of information ethics and their perceptions on this important subject. The survey method was employed. As the population of 3,538 was too large to be studied, a sample size of 178 (representing 5% of graduate population) were given a questionnaire to complete. A case of a credit bearing information literacy skills class, offered to first year undergraduate students though not across all colleges at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana was analysed. The survey research methodology was used and questionnaire was distributed to 136 students. The findings indicated that the course was relevant and should be maintained though students’ knowledge on ethical use of information, citation skills, and information searching skills were poor. The study recommends a collaborative partnership between librarians and faculty for the teaching and learning of information literacy skills.

This paper reports information literacy needs, search and evaluation competencies at Mother Teresa Women’s University and its affiliated colleges. In this study it is try to evaluate the information literacy needs, information needs assessment competency and competency of information literacy evaluation. Questionnaire was a data collection tool. A total of 290 questionnaires were distributed among users and 254 duly filled in questionnaires were received, thus resulting into a response rate of 87.59 per cent. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the present status of RFID application,benefitsrealisedafterimplementing RFID, problems faced during RFID adoption and its implementation in the libraries andinformationcentresofNorthern India. The survey method of research was adopted in this research. In order to assess the required information about the implementation of RFID technology from the librarian/Inchargeof the library of the nine selected institutions of Northern India, the data was collected through a questionnaire method. This paper determines the materials cited in Ph.D. theses of Sociology, submitted to the Panjab University, Chandigarh during the years 2002-2012 to improve the existing collection development policy of University library. The study reveals that Books are the most preferred sources of information used by the researchers in the field of Sociology, accounting for 57.65% of the total citations, although citations from journals, proceedings, internet resources and reports are also found. Abstract
The variations in research productivity available in the scholarly world, between men and women, have always attracted the interest of many researchers across the globe. The present study aims to identify the differences in research productivity, patent creation, funding, collaboration, citation and impact between men and women across regions and disciplines over a period of time. After the comprehensive literature survey, results of various studies were correlated in a systematic manner for further analyses to reveal the findings and draw conclusions.
