It is often said that students’ effective learning cannot be acquired through classrooms activities alone, they refer to school library information resources to complement what they have been taught. In view of the foregoing, this study examines students’ perceived influence of library services in secondary schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. The study population consists of 27,883 students in secondary schools (public and private). This research work examined the information seeking behaviour of rural women on Family Planning in Epe Local Government, Lagos State. Survey research method was adopted. The sample size of the study was one hundred and fifty respondents (120). The instrument used to gather relevant information was questionnaire. Also pilot survey was carried out to ensure validity and reliability of the instrument, the data analysis method used was simple frequency count, percentage and correlation. Ophthalmologists – Eye Doctors working in academic eye hospitals need, seek and use information for their services towards patient care, teaching, research, etc. The present study attempted to determine the recommendations for effective information use as preferred by the ophthalmologists.
Methodology:
The study design is cross sectional and convenience sampling method is adopted. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data. SPSS 18 PASW Statistical package was used for statistical analysis. The study examined the role of access to online databases as the basis for faculty research output in six universities (comprising two each of federal, state and private) in two Southwestern states in Nigeria. A descriptive research design guided the study. Multistage sampling procedures including purposive, stratification, randomization as well as proportionate sampling techniques were employed to select 339 faculty members who provided the data for the study. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has changed the landscape of various institutions of learning. This study is on the impact of ICT on the study habit of students of Iganmode Grammar School Ota. The research revealed a positive significant relationship between the use of ICT and improved study habits of students. However, the work discovered that the available facilities are not sufficient for the students. The analysed the research publications contributions of the LIS researchers in DJLIT (DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information technology) during 2011-2017. New York Times is considered for the present study since it is the most highly cited English newspaper indexed in Web of Science. During the study period there were 13600 records with 14764 citations in different scholarly publications. The study reports the evaluation of open access repositories in the Asia continent, identified through OpenDOAR; Directory of Open Access Repositories (http://www.open doar.org/). The findings of the study indicate that Japan has the maximum number of Open Access Repositories, and following it is India. Most of the repositories fall under the category of institutional repositories being in English language. The most common software for creation and management of these repositories is Dspace. Maximum repositories are multidisciplinary in nature with health and medicine on the top, if seen subject wise.

Abstract:
In this study examines the use information sources and services by the teachers of pre-university colleges in shivamogga taluck. Total 170 questionnaires were distributed to the teachers, out of which 159 questionnaires were received back. The findings of the study shows that the majority 50.94% of teachers are daily visit the library. The majority of 62(38.99%) respondents are satisfied with the library location and reading room facility. The study shows that the 90(56.61%) of teachers opinion disagree with availability of inadequate library building in pre-university colleges and only 13(8.17%) of teachers opinion strongly agree with inadequate library building. The aim of this study is to identify the influence of Jobstreet.com to the information needs. The research approach is quantitative approach with descriptive research type through survey. The respondent is graduate student of Library Science Universitas Indonesia which graduated in 2017 and used Jobstreet.com amounted to 44 respondents. Based on the calculation of the regression coefficients, all the variables showed a positive value to usability (0.927), information quality (0.983), and service interaction quality (1.343). The study surveyed the strategies used in marketing library and Information services in Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Anambra state Nigeria. It was discovered that the strategies used in marketing are ineffective compared to the changing situations in contemporary university environment. Personal experiences as a staff in the library were used to draw inferences for the study. The major marketing strategy used were face-to-face interaction with library user, good communication skills, use of library notice board, display and exhibition, institutions website and use of library as a course.
