The present study determines the extent of India’s Publication growth in Science and Technology. The data was extracted from the Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science for the period 1989-2014. The study covers a year wise growth of Science and Technology publications; Relative Growth Rate (RGR), Doubling Time (DT), Activity Index (AI) of different countries; international collaboration, productive Indian Institutes, prolific authors in Science and Technology field. The aim of this study was to investigate the information use pattern of final year undergraduate students in North-Central Nigeria. Specifically, five purposes and research questions guided the study. It adopted a descriptive survey design and had a population of 3365 registered undergraduate final year student library users from three selected federal universities. The study used proportionate stratified random sampling technique to sample 200 final years Undergraduate library users. The study investigated if homophily-heterophily consciousness and staff quality, could correlate with effective reference services. Analysis of data collected from a simple random sample of 1130 faculty members belonging to 37 Engineering colleges affiliated to JNTU-Anantapur using a questionnaire, reveals that most of the faculty members are using textbooks (97.3%), and Internet (85.7%) for their teaching activity. Further, most of the faculty members are using e-journals (80.1%) and Internet (79.0%) for their research activity. Most of the faculty members are satisfied with latest editions of books available (79.8%) and with the multiple copies available for prescribed textbooks in their libraries (75.02%). This study highlights the publication analysis in nanotechnology research outputs in global level as identified the data in Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection database, Thomson Reuters, Philadelphia, USA. It is found that a total output of worldwide scholarly communications in the field of nanotechnology is 20825 during the period between 1989 and 2014. The maximum numbers of outputs of 7269 records (34.91 %) were published by USA which is placed in the first rank. As a way to enhance their educational experience and promote global citizenship, students in higher education are often expected to participate in activities beyond the walls of their universities. These activities may include study abroad, internships, service learning projects, and much more. While these activities can take place far from the university setting, they also often occur in the university’s local community, where our students work or volunteer at local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and service agencies.
