The basic purpose of this study is to investigate the self-citations appearing in IASLIC Bulletin during 2005-2017. It was found that more than 30% of the articles carry self-citations. The rate of self-citations is 5.81% only. The per-cent of author self-citations, author/journal self-citations and journal self-citations was 53.89%, 2.59% and 43.52% respectively. There were 36 authors who had self-cited only once. The highest self-citing author was P Mukhopadhyay with 10 self-citations followed by A K Bandhopadhyay and B Roy with 8 self-citations each, all from University of Burdwan, West Bengal. Purpose
This study aims to carry out a bibliometric evaluation of articles published in Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PJPS) from 2006 to 2015. Bibliometric study determines publication pattern and identifies research trends in a field.
Design/Methodology/Approach
All articles published in PJPS during ten years were analysed using MS Excel.
Results
A total of 951 authors contributed 1172 articles to PJPS from 2006 to 2015. Eighty-six percent authors contributed only one article each. M. Saeed Arayne and Najma Sultana were the leading principal authors with 18 and 10 articles respectively. Ninety-seven percent articles were written by more than one author. …

This paper uses a bibliometric analysis to explore the citations trend in ethnomedicine and information management. A text mining algorithm of a total number of 8, 333 publications (n = 8,333) was conducted based on the title, abstract and keywords to find co-occurrence of key terms in indigenous medicine and information management. The study analyzed the citations used by doctoral students of PWU School of Education in their dissertations that were completed from Academic Year 2007 to 2017. The study utilized bibliometrics research design for the 86 doctoral dissertations that generated 6,230 citations. Said citations were used to determine the referencing behavior of PWU School of Education doctoral students in terms of publication age, format, type, authorship, origin and the availability of cited materials. This paper examines the extent to which graduate students of the University of Ghana are aware of information ethics and their perceptions on this important subject. The survey method was employed. As the population of 3,538 was too large to be studied, a sample size of 178 (representing 5% of graduate population) were given a questionnaire to complete. The results show that the students surveyed are adequately aware of Information Ethics and that majority of the students comply with Information Ethics. A case of a credit bearing information literacy skills class, offered to first year undergraduate students though not across all colleges at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana was analysed. The survey research methodology was used and questionnaire was distributed to 136 students. The findings indicated that the course was relevant and should be maintained though students’ knowledge on ethical use of information, citation skills, and information searching skills were poor. The study recommends a collaborative partnership between librarians and faculty for the teaching and learning of information literacy skills.

This paper reports information literacy needs, search and evaluation competencies at Mother Teresa Women’s University and its affiliated colleges. In this study it is try to evaluate the information literacy needs, information needs assessment competency and competency of information literacy evaluation. Questionnaire was a data collection tool. A total of 290 questionnaires were distributed among users and 254 duly filled in questionnaires were received, thus resulting into a response rate of 87.59 per cent. The purpose of this study was to assess the information literacy skills of Education Students at the University of Livingstonia. The study employed a cross-sectional descriptive survey design in which questionnaire was used to collect data. Stratified sampling technique was used to sample students from their respective degree programmes under the faculty of education. The study reveals that Books are the most preferred sources of information used by the researchers in the field of Sociology, accounting for 57.65% of the total citations, although citations from journals, proceedings, internet resources and reports are also found. This study investigates how institutional repositories are making hidden or lost cultural digital heritage accessible in academic libraries in selected countries within Africa. The design of the study is a descriptive design. The research makes use of a structured questionnaire prepared using Google forms and sent through e-mail to 40 members of academic staff in selected academic libraries in three African countries namely; Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda. This study evaluated the influence of indigene-ship and interpersonal relationship on employment of staff in selected federal university libraries in South-West, Nigeria. The selected libraries are the Hezekiah Olowsanmi Library of Obafemi Awolowo Univesity, Ile-Ife and Kenneth Dike library of the University of Ibadan. Two research objectives and two hypotheses were raised to guide the study. The ex-post facto research design was adopted, while census sampling technique was employed. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is a theoretical framework that is most extensively utilized in explaining an individual’s acceptance of an information technology or an information system. This study reviews numerous literature related to the TAM focusing on TAM applications in the domains of Library and Information Science (LIS) and Education. The different studies in these areas were evaluated to understand the modifications incorporated into this model. The study attempts provide insight on future trends in the technology acceptance model as well to help identify gaps in literature where future research could be conducted.
