Abstract

Background

In present study, we aimed to identify and evaluate the trends of the 100 most-cited research articles on Covid-19 using bibliometric techniques.

Methods

Scopus online database hosted by Elsevier was used to extract relevant articles for this study. We have identified the top 100 research papers on Covid-19 published across the globe based on their citations data. Further analysis was made to find the countries of origin, journal wise distribution, author cluster network, keyword analysis and inter-citation map to understand and to establish the links among them.

This study provides an overview of the research productivity of scientists/researchers/faculty from across India, in terms of the number of research publications contributed in the Physical Science discipline. The study attempted to analyze bibliometric indicators of published research that have been indexed in Scopus database. There are 1116847 documents published during the period of twenty years i.e. 2000-2019. The study revealed that there is a consistent growth in number of documents published. The main purpose of this study is to examine the effects of social media addiction on reading culture of Nigerian students in higher institutions of learning. An online survey was sent to 1500 students of higher institutions in Nigeria during the Lockdown necessitated by the outbreak of the dreaded Corona Virus (Covid-19) Pandemic. Gender disparity is present in many research fields including in Library and Information Science (LIS). This paper studied gender disparity among Indian LIS professionals and measure the intellectual output 20 years. The study reviewed 1,195 publications in the LIS field from 1999 to 2018, determining the gender of the first author. An analysis of the publication list determined the yearly contributions of male and female authors, together with the average distributions, yearly citation rates and other metrics, by gender. The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the publication of many scientific papers. The goal of the present research was to analyze these papers using the Altmetric Attention Score (AAS). Statistics for 100 publications with high AAS scores were selected and exported from the Dimension database on May 22nd 2020. The major findings were that these publications were published in 34 different journals or preprint repositories. The study was conducted to assess information availability on indigenous practices in order to combat lactation challenge among nursing mothers who are farmers in South West Nigeria. It assessed the perceived effectiveness of the identified indigenous practices to combat lactation challenge. The study also determined the attitude of the respondents towards the use of available indigenous practices to combat lactation challenges. Abstract

This study assessed the information literacy level and media resource utilization among the secondary school students in Lagos State, Nigeria. Using a survey research design, questionnaire was used as the main instrument for data collection. Data was collected from 1,119 SSS2 students across 17 secondary schools from 3 educational districts in Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings showed that highest number of the respondents (25.8%) were from 10 -11 years, while the least (17.4%) were from age 14-15 years, while 53.6% were male and 46.4% were female.
