The Center for Nursing History of Northeastern Pennsylvania (CNH) at Misericordia University documents the history of nursing and the many nursing schools in the Keystone State's Wyoming Valley. In 2015, the Center received a grant to digitize and host its photograph collection to establish a stable digital environment for this regionally significant collection. This presentation will share some challenges, successes, and lessons learned during the migration of over 500 digital objects from ArtStor Public Collections to the Library's institutional repository on Digital Commons.

In 2021, the Research Medical Library of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center launched its new institutional repository titled OpenWorks @ MD Anderson. While touted as an online hub for scholarly communications and open-access education materials, it also serves as the digital archives of the Historical Resources Center (HRC). The HRC's mission is to collect, preserve, and promote archival collections that document MD Anderson's 80-year legacy of fighting cancer. In June 2021, UMass Chan’s Lamar Soutter Library decided to migrate eScholarship@UMassChan from the bepress Digital Commons platform to two separate hosted platforms. This presentation examines the process of building a conference collection on Digital Commons with a discussion on stakeholder collaboration, collection architecture, and promotion, and reciprocal benefit to both scholars and repository managers.

Conference collections enhance attendees' experiences by creating a live archive of conference materials, viewable both during and after the event. Collections provide meaningful metrics for interactions with conference materials, which exist as grey literature that may otherwise go unseen by wider audiences. In 2017 the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library partnered with The George Washington University School of Nursing to create a permanent digital archive for their Doctor of Nursing Practice project collection in our instance of Digital Commons. DNP projects are a unique type of content because they provide important research about nursing practices, but often go unpublished elsewhere. The GW DNP collection now contains over 120 items that have been downloaded over 95,000 times and therefore we were eager to explore additional avenues for disseminating this content beyond our IR and its subsequent indexing platforms. One such collection are posters authored by visiting students who participate in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP). The program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to work with researchers across campus.

The Health Sciences and Human Services Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) offers a poster printing service to faculty, students and staff. The printing service is multifaceted. Researchers fill out a submission form to request a large-scale printout of their PDF poster to share at a conference. The same form also includes information about the opportunity to deposit a copy of their poster into the UMB Digital Archive, the University's digital repository, subsequently making their research discoverable beyond a conference venue. This article describes a collaboration between a branch of the Queens Public Library in NY and an academic medical center that delivered a women’s health educational program with an interprofessional team of faculty, trainees, and students. The team delivered interactive 1-hour long monthly sessions in a Question and Answer format guided by a Powerpoint presentation. The overall goal was to deliver health education workshops on common medical conditions (i.e. diabetes, heart disease) and concerns of interest to women across the lifespan (i.e. infertility, dementia) to improve the health literacy of local community members. Objective: The objective of this systematic review is to consolidate the existing evidence on opioid use, including administration, dosing and efficacy, for the relief of dyspnea at end-of-life. The overarching goal is to optimize clinical management of dyspnea by identifying patterns in opioid use, improving opioid management of dyspnea, and to prioritize future research.

Although research early in the pandemic primarily emphasized libraries’ pandemic response and service to patrons, more interest has developed regarding library workers and their experiences. This study seeks to understand the impacts library workers experienced from the beginning of institutions’ initial pandemic response through the end of 2020. This article focuses on a subset of the data related to the health concerns and impacts Kentucky library workers experienced during distinct phases of the early pandemic. Responses to this survey indicate that workers required to be onsite were impacted more frequently with COVID-related health concerns while all library workers experienced significant …
