Starting with the premise that most academic libraries have a Libguides Database A-Z, our poster explains the metacognitive exercise in evaluating our Database A-Z list and adding open-source/ government databases. We realized that after graduation, our students would no longer have access to expensive journals and databases; and, our goal was to provide students with free academic standard options that they would continue to use in their post-graduation lives.

This study aims at determining the influence of information needs, sources and gender on information use by faculty of science undergraduate students in universities in southwest Nigeria. In order to sample all important sub-population of the students, data were collected from seven departments which are Computer science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Physic, Archaeology, and Anthropology. Data was collected using a questionnaire from 500 students while data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and T-test. This study assessed the information behavior and information literacy skills of individuals during the 2021 General Election in Zambia. Similar studies have been conducted in the past in the United States of America and Europe whose results revealed that information literacy and civic engagement are related and extremely important to the political process. How can you use humor to relieve pandemic fatigue while teaching visual literacy? At the University of Dayton, librarians developed an asynchronous session on visual literacy and internet memes. The session introduced students to fair use, public domain and Creative Commons images and tools for determining how they could be remixed or reused. The interactive tutorial included an active learning component where students created their own fun and lighthearted memes. In Spring 2021, the librarian presenters partnered with Laura Bauer, a Nutrition faculty member, to teach students in introductory Nutrition classes information evaluation skills. The instructor's assignment originally asked the class of non-science major students to find a recipe online that met a personal nutrition goal based on current recommendations. The assignment evolved for a class of pre-health science students into an evaluative assignment where students were asked to research a fad diet online and compare those findings with the scholarly literature, all while considering diet culture through a social justice lens. The Status Of Scholarly Efforts Of Librarians In Health Literacy: A Bibliometric Analysis, Alexandria Wilson, Courtney Wombles, R. Eric Heidel, Kelsey Grabeel

Objective: In order to determine the status of scholarly efforts on health literacy by librarians, researchers examined the characteristics of health literacy publications authored by librarians from 2000 to 2020.

Methods: Bibliometrics were used to assess the productivity, affiliations, collaboration, and citation metrics of librarians in health literacy-related research. Data were collected using the Scopus database and articles were screened for inclusion in Rayyan software before importation into Microsoft Excel for analysis. SPSS statistical software used to run basic descriptive statistics.

During Spring 2021, a team of librarians and eight student interns conducted a diversity, equity, and inclusion audit of our institution’s print and ebook collection in order to examine the voices and subjects represented and to reveal diversity shortcomings. Students assisted in determining the methodology, assessing print and ebook collections, and providing recommendations on closing identified collection gaps. Librarians and students met semi-monthly to check in on the progress of the project and to discuss an article related to DEI in libraries and publishing.

During 2020-21 two business faculty from different institutions together with OER librarians, undergraduate students, and graduate assistants conspired to create a faculty-access-only test bank aligned to senior undergraduate-level open textbook, Strategic Management (2020) and AACSB Standards.
