Information literacy, inquiry, and empirical observation skills are essential to undergraduate students’ success, supporting the development of their independent critical thinking skills. In this chapter, we discuss an interdisciplinary course that we, an architecture professor and a librarian, co-taught at New York City College of Technology. The course, Learning Places: Understanding the City, combines place-based learning with primary source research, developing students’ abilities to observe an urban site chosen for study and to document their observations, and in the process build a line of inquiry for further research. This paper uses a qualitative methodology to explore the perceptions of academic librarian on the definition of lifelong learning and their roles in supporting lifelong learning. Existing research on the topic was aligned to the emergent educational model of heutagogy to identify key concepts including self-directed learning, learner agency, and the impact of technology. Heutagogy is a learning model focused on self-determined learning, often in a high technology environment, for mature learners who have high degrees of agency over the entire learning process including identifying learning goals and methods, locating resources, and designing assessments. The main purpose of this paper is to examine online library resources during the COVID-19 pandemic situation at higher educational institutions in Pakistan. During the current pandemic situations, all the educational activities have been postponed and transformed into online latterly. A cross-sectional study consisting of a sample of 2378 from library patrons of public sector universities in Pakistan. The Scholarly Communication Assessment Forum (SCAF) was planned to be held on the Sacramento State campus on May 4 & 5, 2020. When pandemic-related shelter-in-place restrictions were imposed in mid-March and it became clear an in-person event would be impossible, the project team had to quickly shift to a virtual event. While quickly changing the format of the event was challenging, there were also unexpected benefits. The project team was able to collect much richer data by recording all sessions and breakout discussions. Do you have issues quantifying the success of your scholarly communication programs? Many CSUs not only struggle with how to properly fund and staff scholarly communication programs, but also how to show their value. Sacramento State and San Jose State received an IMLS National Forum grant in 2019 to determine how similar public institutions were assessing their scholarly communication programs. In our multi-phased grant project, we used the University of Central Florida’s Research Lifecycle (https://library.ucf.edu/about/departments/scholarly-communication/overview-research-lifecycle/ ) as a framing document for all the multi-faceted services that scholarly communication encompasses. This research aimed to explore the profile of the top Indonesian institutions based on the Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2021 and to clarify whether there was any consistency among the SIR, the Scopus, and the SINTA profile of the top Indonesian institutions. The authors considered a desk study through a bibliometric analysis. All data were extracted from Scimago, Scopus, and SINTA database. The top 25 institutions (including 29 universities with a double in some rank positions) from Indonesia in the SIR 2021 were analyzed their profile at the end of April 2021. “Looking from Yesterday” is the title of Dr. Milo A. Rediger’s 1970 address about the importance of Christian higher education during times of uncertainty and volatility. In this address, Rediger references the “Taylor concept,” which included symbols of oil (light) and the cross as a hopeful sign to the world. Despite its delivery more than 50 years ago, the theme of Rediger’s address still rings true today as we continue to seek to fulfill the mission of Taylor University during our own challenging times. Providing access to information is one mission of libraries and librarians. Programs and outreach are important aspects of accomplishing this mission. The implementation of the bookmobile program in the United States in the early 1900s provided access to those who couldn’t easily travel to a library. There are many people, then and now, who struggle to access libraries and the valuable resources libraries provide. Those people are the benefiters of the utilization of this innovative idea. Bookmobiles were valuable programs in the early 1900s and continue to be a useable and needed program today.

This study aims to explore the publication trends in Webology Journal. The Scopus database was chosen for the extraction of bibliographic data for the period 2006 to 2020. Then, VOSviewer software was used to analyse the data and generate visualization network maps. A total of 295 publications were found during the study period. The various bibliometrics indicators have been applied to identify the publication trends of Webology Journal. The finding revealed that the highest number of papers (92) and the maximum number of citations (273) appeared in 2020. Active learning is a student-centered and effective pedagogical approach, but there are practical barriers that can make it difficult to employ. As instructors and facilitators in Dartmouth’s Librarians Active Learning Institute, we’ve experienced and heard about the challenges librarians face when trying to incorporate active learning in their teaching, including faculty expectations, time constraints, class sizes, space constraints, and virtual learning environments.

This paper aims to evaluate the teaching skills, learning skills, learning outcomes, and academic performance using scientometrics analysis from 2001 to 2020. The scientometrics method and a total of 7536 published documents were found. The results reveal that the topic of academic performance and article as a type of published document was highly used. The high majority of these published documents are published in the English language and gradually increased in the number of published documents in terms of the year.
