This paper seeks to explore and understand the making of Thai magic amulets and whether they are worth the value that makes their believers sometimes pay millions of baht for them, especially when there are many counterfeits. Looking at some of the most sought-after amulets, we learn why these magic amulets have an especially strong following among the Thai and even from visitors overseas. his research aims to investigate the interplay between urban development and urban tourism in Bangkok by identifying challenges, potentials, and opportunities for enhancing the city’s appeal. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study incorporates foreign tourist questionnaires, stakeholder interviews, and online open data analysis from prominent travel platforms. The findings reveal that, despite numerous clusters of tourist attractions and facilities, mobility infrastructure emerges as the most significant challenge for urban tourism and development in Bangkok. The study recom-mends concentrating on the development of primary attractions, secondary support facilities, and additional elements for conve-nient mobility to address these challenges. This study argues that the construction of the 14th of October 1973 Memorial (Anuson Sathan Sip Si Tula) embodies the complicated Thai democracy and the democratic quest and struggles of the Thai people. By looking at the historical accounts and narratives of its construction and analyzing the symbols and meanings of the structure, this article reveals that from being a space for remembrance and a venue of commemoration of the October 1973 student revolution, this memorial transformed into a platform for democracy over time up to the emergence of the 2020 student movement. The South China Sea dispute is a geopolitical issue with complicated characteristics such as territorial dispute, resources contention, and involvement of regional powers and great powers. This study explores the transformation of Bali’s Nyepi Day practices through the lens of cultural commodification. Nyepi, as the Balinese Day of Silence, is rooted in four core prohibitions—no fire (Amati Geni), no travel (Amati Lelungan), no work (Amati Karya), and no entertainment (Amati Lelanguan)—and is traditionally observed as a day of spiritual purification. However, its increasing commodification through tourism packages and hotel promotions has raised concerns from religious councils and local authorities regarding the erosion of its sacred meaning. This study explores pet ownership in Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand. Urbanization and its consequences on dwellers’ way of life are principally the key factors influencing new attitudes towards pets. The concept of pet humanization, which regards pets as emotional companions or family members rather than utilitarian animals, is used to explain this phenomenon. By reviewing Singapore pet control regulations, the research found that the restricted pets in public housing policies have gradually loosened due to public pressure and emotional demand. This study aims to analyse the key drivers influencing electric vehicle (EV) market development in ASEAN, by applying the PESTEL framework to analyze political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors. The case studies of Thailand and Indonesia are used to examine their different EV development trajectories. Field observations in Bangkok, Thailand, and Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia, supplement secondary data analysis by providing detailed insights on infrastructure deployment, consumer behavior, and operational challenges. This research examines human security issues of low-income migrant workers in Singapore as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We conducted stakeholder interviews and a review of secondary data, which were deductively analysed using themes adopted from a United Nations Development Programme human security framework. This research found that while several efforts by civil society and the government have been assessed to make a lasting, positive impact on human security, other areas may still have fallen short. This article deals with the issue of the preparation of French Indochina for the possibility of an armed conflict with Thailand in the late 1930s. It examines the reasons that led the colony to find itself so ill-prepared for the eventuality of war. In this perspective, the article shows that, although aware of its pro-Japanese evolution and the territorial claims of Siam, the French authorities hastened to undertake nothing, an attitude which was in line with the Munich policy that marked French policy in the last month before the outbreak of war in Europe. This research had the following objectives: 1) To explore the situation of Chinese students in Thailand; and 2) To study the motivations of Chinese students to study in Thailand. This research was a qualitative study. Data were collected through a literature review, focus group discussions, and interviews. The study found that, in 2020, there were 14,423 Chinese students studying higher education in Thailand. Most were from the southern China, but students from other parts of China are also appearing in greater numbers. There are many reasons why Chinese students choose to study abroad.
