Outcomes and impact of the case Post-module feedback surveys conducted over AY2015/16 showed that over 80% of the students who took an SMU-X module reported enhanced problem-solving, analytical, reasoning and communication skills, all of which were skills highly valued by employers. University tuition had increased in highly excess of the inflation rate from 1990s until 2008. Many people are wondering whether the quality of university education is proportional to the tuition level. Thus, this capstone project examines whether the quality measures in higher education can predict the tuition level.

After analyzing eight-year data of 146 private universities in South Korea, I get the result that university tuition is not a function of quality measures in terms of educational costs. This paper documents the learning journey and outcomes of designing an electronic roll-and-move board game, The Grade Inflation Game (GIGAME). It was developed by the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) for classes conducted in the School of Law at the Singapore Management University (SMU). It investigates the effectiveness of using an electronic board game in teaching and learning. Based on the survey on 64 student-players of the game, the study revealed that the game enabled students to consolidate objective skills and knowledge while having 'serious' fun.

In this paper we report our study on the problem of competency acquisition when students progress from one course to another and more generally, from one term to the next. We observed that some students moved on to a second programming course without acquiring some of the competencies in the first programming course.
