This paper examines religious spatial interaction within an urban environment and as such contributes to the sparse literature on the Geography of Religion. It is the specific purpose to illustrate the journey to worship of households in the City of Waterloo, Ontario and to explain the spatial pattern utilizing the Principle of Least Effort.

It is discovered that if historical tension and dimensional tension are considered, one is able to predict the actual pattern of the journey to worship with seventy per cent accuracy. The fact that a large per cent of the sample attend the closest church of their …

The main objective of this study is to develop a computer model to predict the food stores which individual consumers choose for the major part of their grocery purchases. It is worthwhile to develop such a predictive model for two reasons. In the first place, it is useful to be able to predict consumer store choices for purposes of retail planning. Secondly, a working predictive model illuminates the main bases of the consumer spatial choice process and thus adds to our understanding of urban spatial organization.

The broiler industry is defined as one “encompassing all those business activities associated with broiler production inputs such as chicks and feed, the growing of broilers, and their processing and distribution from processing plants to final consumers.” The broiler industry is a segment of the poultry industry.

This study will deal specifically with the locational or spatial aspects of the industry and with teh flow of produce from processing plant to consumer.

The volume of migration from farms in the United States has been one of the remarkable· population· trends of the last quarter of a century. In spite of the steady increase in the Nation's population, the number of persons on farms has been declining. The farm population reached the lowest point in perhaps half a century during the years of World War II.
