During late January and early February 1978, archaeological testing was carried out in an area north of Olmos Dam, San Antonio, Texas (see Fig. 1) by personnel from the Center for Archaeological Research (CAR), The University of Texas at San Antonio. This work was performed under contract between CAR and the San Antonio River Authority.
The area tested consisted of 16 acres bounded by Olmos Dam to the south, Devine Road to the west and Olmos Creek to the north and east. The objective of the testing was to determine whether any historic or prehistoric resources were present and, if …

During the last weeks of December 1976, an archaeological and historical survey was conducted within the boundaries of Brackenridge Park, San Antonio, Texas, to inventory and assess all identifiable prehistoric and historic remains. Since December 1976, the Center for Archaeological Research has carried out a succession of archaeological surveys of proposed sewer line routes and sewage treatment plant construction in the San Antonio area (Fox 1977; Fox, McGraw and Valdez 1978). The data recovered, archaeological sites recorded and recommendations for future work have been provided to Radian Corporation for use in preparation of the Environmental Impact Statement.
The engineers have published the 201 Wastewater Facility Plan (Pape-Dawson et. al. 1978). It is now appropriate to examine this plan in relation to the archaeological work already completed, in order to assess what must yet …

The purpose of this investigation was to make an assessment of areas to be affected by planned tennis courts and parking facilities on the Laredo Junior College campus.

During January 1979, personnel from the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, carried out archaeological surveys along five different drainages in two sewage treatment plant areas of northern Bexar County. The current project is an addition to the begun by Fox (1977) in Phase I to assess archaeological resources for preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement for the San Antonio 201 Wastewater Treatment Facilities Project.

In late March 1978, Tennessee Gas Pipeline (Houston) authorized the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, to carry out Phase II investigations along the proposed route of the Del Norte pipeline, southern Texas. The Center had conducted an initial historical and archaeological assessment of the pipeline route in 1977 and had recommended subsequent field work (Phase II) in order to better evaluate some of the findings made at that time. Pursuant to requirements of the E.D.A. as outlined in a letter from the City Menard, Texas dated April 16, 1979, the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) submitted a proposal for an archaeological survey of the route of a new natural gas pipeline. This proposal was accepted by the City of Menard in a letter dated April 23, and the survey was accomplished on May 1 and 2 by Thomas C.
