Core inflation leads to erosion of purchasing power and distorts income distribution in favor of the rich and the creditors. Further, it aggravates poverty due to its regressive effect. By targeting core inflation, the Central Bank attempts to reduce poverty and improve income distribution. The Central Bank does and should target core inflation for the aforementioned objectives, hence it becomes necessary to identify if factors apart from monetary policy affect core inflation. Using multiple time series based on data gathered from reliable government agencies I will compare the effects of national inflation, fluctuations in national GDP, and fluctuations in national employment on the personal income of multiple Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), with the effects that local (MSA) inflation, fluctuations in local GDP, and fluctuations in local employment in multiple MSAs have on real national GDP. The purpose of this research is to determine the implicit factors influencing housing prices in Pittsylvania County, a rural county in Southside Virginia. Currently in Pittsylvania County there is a debate over whether or not to mine what is believed to be the largest deposit of uranium in the United States, containing approximately 119 million pounds of uranium ore at an estimated value of $7 billion to $10 billion. The Virginia Coal and Energy Commission issued its final approval for the National Academy of Sciences to study the debate from a socio-economic standpoint. Interdependency among sectors is the essential characteristic of modem production. This experience has suggested the importance of studying sectoral interdependence. One of the aims of this study is to estimate and measure the intersectoral output and employment linkages in the Malaysian economy by employing the input-output analysis which was introduced by Leontief and subsequently developed by various economists. Output linkages are used to identify key sectors in the Malaysian economy in terms of demand and supply generated. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) intensified efforts to achieve inflation and exchange rate stability while improving the efficiency of the financial sector. The financial sector experienced rapid growth and structural changes, with the strongest growth occurring in common unity banking and mortgage finance institutions. The following discussion of tax reductions uses as an example South Dakota’s own version of Proposition 13, the Dakota Proposition. In the discussion which follows, four major themes are developed. First, Dakota Proposition would have a very major consequence for public finance in South Dakota-beginning in 1982 and extending indefinitely thereafter. Second, Dakota Proposition and other major tax reduction proposals have a variety of origins---some particular to the relevant state, and some more general origins as well.
