ABSTRAK Migrasi daJaman memainkan peranan penting dalarn proses pembangunan ekonomi, pertumbuhan perbandaran dan perkembangan industrialisasi negara. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kesan sosio-ekonomi migrasi keluar desa ke atas komuniti pertanian. yang mengalami pengurangan penduduk. Data yang digunakan dalam kajian ini berasaskan survei isi rumah yang dijalankan di Kerian, Hilir Perak, Sabak Bemam dan Rembau. Keputusan Regresi Logit Multinomial menunjukkan rnigrasi keluar desa memberikan kesan positif ke atas taraf hidup isi rumah melalui wang kiriman yang dihantar oleh migran. The town of Yarmouth currently has a $30 million septic sludge treatment plant and transport lines in place. The vast majority of the dwellings and businesses in the Hyannis Park area are on septic systems that are viable and Title 5 compliant, regardless of age. Conventional, "non-failing" septic systems, however, were never intended to remove form their effluent nutrients such as nitrogen. These have become recognized as an environmental threat only as our understanding of the impacts of excess nutrients on ecosystems has increased in recent decades.

For most of the past 20 years, the environmental industry has been a very significant one, both in Massachusetts and across the country. Some have placed it alongside the electronics, computer hardware, software, biotechnology, fiber optics, and composite materials industries as part of the high-technology sector that has diversified and strengthened the state’s economy. Nationally, environmental industry employment exceeded that of several major manufacturing industries, including chemicals, paper, and aerospace.

This paper investigates whether the day of the week effect anomaly exists in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) over a period of time from 1994 to 1998 using the Exchange Main Board All-Share Index or the EMAS Index, which incorporates all Main Board Companies. The analysis of the day of the week effect during the study period is further explored in relation to firm size and economic conditions. The forests of Samoa (formerly Western Samoa) are rapidly disappearing. This article reviews the history of Samoan deforestation, particularly during the last four decades, in the context of ideas about development and sustainability. It also examines the role of village agriculturalists in the process of deforestation. Recent economic, technological, and organizational changes have increased village agricultural expansion and, consequently, deforestation.
