To write a descriptive history of the Davis County Clipper and its editors was the purpose of this study.
The first person involved with the newspaper was Lamoni Call who had been printing a small brochure to advertise his business. He asked John Stahle, Sr. to join him in printing some news along with the advertisments.
Regular publication began early in 1891 under the name of the The Little Clipper. Dissolution of the partnership came in 1894. Mr. Stahle maintained the editorial side of the newspaper his entire life. His son John Stahle, Jr. lived and loved the printing …

To write a descriptive, chronological history of Manti journalists and their newspapers was the purpose of this study. A century of journalism was traced, during which twenty-six editors and publishers printed six country newspapers. The study covered the years from 1867 to 1967.

The purpose of this investigation has been to write an account of the Utah newspaper war during the final thirty years of the nineteenth century, with emphasis on the events that brought about the establishment of the Salt Lake Tribune, the men who guided its destiny, news and editorial content, as well as its role in the economic, social and political history of Utah.

The purpose of this study will be to make an accurate descriptive account of past journalistic endeavors in Emery County with special emphasis placed on the characteristics of the publications. The study will attempt to illustrate the characteristics and tone of each editor's or publisher's product. Available biographical material and characteristics of publishers and editors will be listed where possible. Factors which led to launching and/or discontinuation of publication, economic factors, and special problems will be discussed where material is available to accurately do so. Bowling Green Booster was published twice a month by Selby Smith. This issue has articles written by WKU faculty Henry Cherry, Finley Grise and Herman Lowe and Bowling Green Business University faculty J.L. Harman. The majority of the issue is dedicated to WKU's homecoming activities. There are also articles regarding the Whitney Transfer Company, the Welfare Home, General Association of Baptists in Kentucky, Highway 31-W Association, the Red Cross, and the economy.
