Prominent Huntington, West Virginia, family. Three generations of the family are represented: Joseph Harvey Long, publisher of the Huntington Herald-Advertiser; son and daughter-in-law, Walker and Eloise Campbell Long, both active in civic and cultural affairs of Huntington, namely the Huntington Herald-Dispatch and the Tri-State Metropolitan Opera Regional Auditions; some papers of the six children of Walker and Eloise Long.
