This Report reviews the operations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and macroeconomic developments during the fiscal year 2000 and appraises the major economic policy outcomes during the period. The bank is responsible for administering the Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BOFI) Act, which aims to ensure high standards of banking practice and financial stability through surveillance activities and the promotion of an efficient payments and clearing system. In 1972, the prices of fossil fuel suddenly shot up and with it there was enormous escalation in fertiliser prices. People were therefore very pessimistic about the future of agriculture in the country, though the Green Revolution had been hailed only a few years before. So in my talk on Our Agriculture Future in 1973 I said that what we needed was an integrated approach: a farming systems approach looking at our land and water resources. ABSTRAK Migrasi daJaman memainkan peranan penting dalarn proses pembangunan ekonomi, pertumbuhan perbandaran dan perkembangan industrialisasi negara. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kesan sosio-ekonomi migrasi keluar desa ke atas komuniti pertanian. yang mengalami pengurangan penduduk. Data yang digunakan dalam kajian ini berasaskan survei isi rumah yang dijalankan di Kerian, Hilir Perak, Sabak Bemam dan Rembau. Keputusan Regresi Logit Multinomial menunjukkan rnigrasi keluar desa memberikan kesan positif ke atas taraf hidup isi rumah melalui wang kiriman yang dihantar oleh migran. Dalam konteks kajian ini, lawatan oleh migran bukan merupakan cara yang efektif dalarn mengeratkan hubungan kekeluargaan kerana hanya 46.2% daripada tanggapan …

A key part of the effort to estimate the economic value of the ocean is to develop estimates of the appropriate values of the goods and services traded in the market economy. Such estimates should include the output of industries associated with the ocean, as well as other measures of economic activity, including income generated, employment, the number of firms, etc. Providing the information that permits seeing the economy of the ocean within the context of other economic activity requires preparing estimates that are consistent with the National Income and Product
