The goal of industrial/organizational (IO) psychology, is to build and organize trustworthy knowledge about people-related phenomena in the workplace. Unfortunately, as with other scientific disciplines, our discipline may be experiencing a “crisis of confidence” stemming from the lack of reproducibility and replicability of many of our field's research findings, which would suggest that much of our research may be untrustworthy. If a scientific discipline's research is deemed untrustworthy, it can have dire consequences, including the withdraw of funding for future research. In this focal article, we review the current state of reproducibility and replicability in IO psychology and related fields. …

While workplace diversity is a hot topic, the extent to which the diversity management movement has effectively improved intergroup relations and reduced racial inequality remains unclear. Despite large investments in diversity and inclusion training and other company wide initiatives, historically excluded groups remain vastly underrepresented in leadership and the most lucrative careers, such as finance, law, and technology. This calls the efficacy of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts into question, particularly with respect to reducing racial inequality in the workplace.

This is an editorial commentary on the Research Topic entitled: Editorial: Positive youth development, mental health, and psychological well-being in diverse youth. One impetus behind this Research Topic was to examine the ways in which positive development intersects with problematic aspects of development and behavior, with an emphasis on connections to indicators of mental health problems. The second impetus was to take an international approach, including youth from diverse countries and settings who were studied using a variety of etic and emic methods that correspondingly consider cross-culturally common features and features that vary across cultures.

A familiar staple of entertainment for a wide variety of readers, the comic book has not always held a regular place in the academic library. Concerning themselves with collecting more traditional expressions of scholarship, libraries have not historically dedicated much of their acquisitions budgets to this area. Therefore, the comic book or graphic novel was largely relegated to someone’s personal collection and would more likely be found on the shelves of a comic book store than the shelves of a university library.

This study examined participants' stereotypic views of fathers. The analysis used the Stereotype Content Model as a focus. Participants (Ps) first rated men in general and then different types of fathers (3 types) on 62 traits (e.g., open, caring) on a 6-point scales (0 = not all like to 6 = most like). The father types measured included: married father, divorced non-resident, divorced resident, stepfather, never married, adoptive, and gay fathers. Baumeister and Bushman (this issue: Psychological Inquiry 2023, vol. 34, no. 1) offer a cultural animal theory of partisan hostility (hereafter CAT) with the specific aim of explaining the root drivers of political conflict. CAT posits that competition for power revolves around oppositional worldviews reflecting preferences attached to the two primary objectives of all successful societies: amassing and distributing resources. The current study investigated how fans and supporters of sport teams and political parties in the United States viewed relevant out-groups and out-group members. Specifically, perceptions of rival sport teams and political parties were compared to determine how fans and supporters differed in their views and likely behaviors toward out-groups. Findings showed that sport fans reported more positive attitudes toward their favorite teams and more negative attitudes of the rival team than in politics. However, political supporters reported more negative perceptions and likely behaviors toward the out-group than fans of sport. Additional analysis revealed that the common in-group influenced perceptions. …

Alarms have been in use for many decades, yet there still needs to be more clarity about what makes a good alarm. Vendors and government agencies have developed several useful handbooks describing the Do’s and Don’ts of effective alarm design; however, to date, we cannot find a comprehensive quantitative taxonomy or classification system that allows researchers to easily score and rank various alarm designs in any field—while using a common language that users, engineers, designers, and human factors professionals can understand. Single Pilot Operations (SPO) have drawn significant attention during the last years, as a result of the increased dual flight crew expenses, and as a remedy to the impending pilot shortage which is estimated to manifest itself in the following years. The main objective of this study was to explore the factors that influence the Greek passengers’ acceptance of SPO. To that end, 12 semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed through Thematic Analysis by combining both a priori and inductive coding procedures.

The past few years have seen an emergence of populist leaders around the world, who have not only accrued but also maintained support despite rampant criticism, governance failures, and the ongoing COVID pandemic. The Philippines' Rodrigo Duterte is the best illustration of this trend, with approval ratings rarely dipping below 80 percent. What explains his high levels of robust public support? We argue that Duterte is an ethnopopulist who uses ethnic appeals in combination with insider vs. outsider rhetoric to garner and maintain public support. There is a high prevalence of suicide in people who engage in Suicide by Cop (SbC), a method of suicide that involves provoking law enforcement into fatal use of force. This research study aimed to examine the changes in knowledge about SbC, self-efficacy when dealing with SbC offenders, and empathy toward SbC offenders in response to law enforcement officers’ (LEO) participation in a 30-minute SbC intervention training. การบัญชีนิติวิทยา : กลไกป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ, อิฐฐนันธ์ ปุรณะพรรค์

การวิจัยเรื่อง “การบัญชีนิติวิทยา : กลไกการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ เพื่อศึกษาถึงการใช้การบัญชีนิติวิทยามาต่อสู้กับอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ และเสนอ แนวทางการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของการบัญชีนิติวิทยา โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 17 ท่าน และสังเคราะห์ข้อมูลเป็นข้อเสนอแนะที่สามารถนำไปปฏิบัติได้ ผลการวิจัยที่สำคัญ พบว่า การบัญชีนิติวิทยา คือ การรวบรวมหลักฐานการก่ออาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจและการทุจริตไปสำแดงในชั้นศาล โดยใช้เทคนิคการสืบสวนทางการเงินและการบัญชี กลไกการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจด้วยการใช้การบัญชีนิติวิทยา ประกอบด้วย (1) การป้องกันอาชญากรรม (Prevention) (2) การตรวจจับเฝ้าระวัง (Detection) (3) การสืบสวน (Investigation) เก็บรวบรวมหลักฐานขึ้นสู่ชั้นศาลหรือไกล่เกลี่ย และ (4) การเยียวยาชดใช้ผู้เสียหาย เทคนิคการบัญชีนิติวิทยาแบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ (1) Collection Forensic คือ การตรวจสอบเอกสารและไฟล์เอกสาร (2) Digital Forensic คือ การสืบหาหลักฐานจากอุปกรณ์และแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลต่างๆ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคของการใช้บัญชีนิติวิทยาในการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญ เช่น ประเทศไทยยังไม่มีการกำหนดมาตรฐานการบัญชีนิติวิทยาและจรรยาบรรณของนักบัญชีนิติวิทยา จึงควรจัดตั้ง “สมาคมนักบัญชีนิติวิทยาแห่งประเทศไทย” หรือกำหนดให้เป็นสาขาวิชาชีพแขนงหนึ่งใน “สภาวิชาชีพบัญชี” นักบัญชีนิติวิทยาภาคเอกชนถูกจำกัดการเข้าถึงฐานข้อมูลทางการเงิน ขณะที่หน่วยงานภาครัฐสามารถเข้าถึงฐานข้อมูลได้เต็มที่ จึงอาจจำเป็นต้องมีกฎหมายพิเศษ เช่น “ประมวลกฎหมายวิธีพิจารณาคดีอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ” และการจัดตั้งองค์กรกลางที่เป็น “Single of Command” เช่น “กระทรวงความมั่นคงภายใน” หรือ “คณะกรรมการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเศรษฐกิจ (ปป.อศ.)” หรือเพิ่มบทบาทหน้าที่ของ “คณะกรรมการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริตแห่งชาติ (ป.ป.ช.)” นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ปัญหาด้านความรู้ความสามารถเกิดจาก “ระบบอุปถัมภ์” ผู้ตรวจสอบภาครัฐมักขาดทักษะด้านการบัญชีนิติวิทยาซึ่งเป็นพหุวิทยาการ (Multidisciplinary) เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาเหล่านี้ การพัฒนาหลักสูตรการบัญชีนิติวิทยาจึงจำเป็นอย่างยิ่ง โดยอาศัยความร่วมมือแบบสหวิทยาการ (Interdisciplinary) และการฝึกอบรมร่วมกับสภาวิชาชีพบัญชี

งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทของรัฐด้านการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนในประเทศเยอรมัน ฟินแลนด์ และลักซ์เซมเบิร์ก ในช่วงค.ศ. 2015 – 2022 โดยวิเคราะห์พัฒนาการและรูปแบบการพัฒนาของทั้งสามประเทศ พบว่าทั้งเยอรมนี ฟินแลนด์ และลักเซมเบิร์กต่างประสบความสำเร็จในการขับเคลื่อนระบบเศรษฐกิจแห่งความยั่งยืนนี้ โดยมีจุดร่วมคือรัฐเป็นผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จทั้งหมดผ่านการทำงานของกลไกราชการ (Bureaucratic Capacity) ที่มีความเป็นอิสระที่ฝังรากลึก (Embedded Autonomy) ระดับสูง ได้แก่ CEID ของเยอรมนี Sitra ของฟินแลนด์ และกระทรวง MEA, MECO และ MECDD ของลักเซมเบิร์ก นอกจากนี้ โครงสร้างและบทบาทและหน่วยงานหลักที่รับผิดชอบด้านการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนเหล่านี้ยังสะท้อนภาพความเป็นรัฐที่นำการพัฒนาที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะของแต่ละประเทศ คือ เยอรมนีในฐานะรัฐที่นำการพัฒนาที่เน้นการมีส่วนร่วม ฟินแลนด์ในฐานะรัฐที่นำการพัฒนาที่เน้นการชี้นำด้วยความสมัครใจ และลักเซมเบิร์กในฐานะรัฐที่นำการพัฒนาที่เน้นการแบ่งงานกันทำ ซึ่งหมายความว่าการเป็นรัฐที่นำการพัฒนานั้นไม่ได้มีรูปแบบเดียวเสมอไป แต่สามารถมีได้หลายเส้นทางขึ้นอยู่กับบริบทที่เหมาะสมของแต่ละประเทศ

การศึกษาในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำความเข้าใจบทบาทสตรีมุสลิมในการพัฒนาวิสาหกิจชุมชน ตลอดจนการรวมกลุ่ม ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภายในและภายนอกชุมชน และผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นใน 3 ด้าน คือด้านเศรษฐกิจ ด้านสังคม และด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยศึกษาผ่านกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นสตรีมุสลิมในกลุ่มวิสาหกิจชุมชน จำนวน 10 คน ภายใต้ทฤษฎีสตรีนิยมอิสลาม ร่วมกับแนวคิดเครือข่ายทางสังคม หลักการเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน และเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ผลการศึกษาได้แสดงให้เห็นว่ากลุ่มสตรีมุสลิมพยายามธำรงบทบาทตามที่พระมหาคัมภีร์อัลกุรอานได้ระบุไว้อย่างชัดเจนในด้านบทบาทและสิทธิที่สตรีมุสลิมพึงปฏิบัติที่มากกว่าโลกส่วนตัว หากแต่กลุ่มสตรีมุสลิมได้ก้าวออกมาสู่โลกสาธารณะ การรวมกลุ่มสตรีเพื่อหารายได้และการก้าวขึ้นมาสู่บทบาทของผู้พัฒนาชุมชนที่ได้รับการยอมรับจากคนในชุมชน นอกจากนี้กลุ่มสตรีมุสลิมยังมีการเพิ่มพูนความรู้อยู่อย่างสม่ำเสมอเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะและความสามารถของตนเอง อีกทั้งยังมีการสร้างเครือข่ายทางสังคมทั้งกับคนภายในชุมชนและหน่วยงานภายนอก โดยการปฏิสัมพันธ์กับคนในชุมชนนั้นเป็นความสัมพันธ์ที่เข้มแข็ง มีความเรียบง่าย สนิทสนมและความเป็นเครือญาติกัน จึงให้ความช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกันอยู่อย่างเสมอ สำหรับหน่วยงานภายนอกจะทำหน้าที่แจ้งข้อมูลข่าวสารต่างๆ รวมไปถึงการให้ความช่วยเหลือสนับสนุนด้านงบประมาณในการพัฒนาวิสาหกิจชุมชนให้มีศักยภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น ทั้งนี้การเติบโตอย่างมั่นคงและการพัฒนาวิสาหกิจชุมชนอย่างยั่งยืนมีความสอดคล้องกับหลักการเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนโดยเมื่อนำมาประยุกต์ใช้กับการพัฒนาวิสาหกิจชุมชนพบว่าได้ก่อให้เกิดผลกระทบต่อชุมชนใน 3 ด้าน ประกอบไปด้วย ด้านเศรษฐกิจคือวิสาหกิจชุมชนมีบทบาทในการส่งเสริมการจ้างงาน การเพิ่มการกระจายรายได้ให้แก่คนในชุมชน การเลือกใช้วัตถุดิบท้องถิ่นมาเพิ่มมูลค่าด้วยการแปรรูป ด้านสังคมมีการดึงการมีส่วนร่วมจากคนในชุมชนอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม และด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมคือลดปัญหาการเกิดขยะ การพยายามอนุรักษ์น้ำ และส่งเสริมความตระหนักด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมแก่คนในชุมชน ซึ่งเป็นไปในทิศทางเดียวกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนจำนวน 6 ข้อด้วยกัน ประกอบไปด้วย ข้อที่ 1 ขจัดความยากจน ข้อที่ 2 ขจัดความหิวโหย ข้อที่ 4 การศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ ข้อที่ 5 ความเท่าเทียมทางเพศ ข้อที่ 8 การจ้างงานที่มีคุณค่าและการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ และข้อที่ 13 การรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการสืบสวนสอบสวนคดีความผิดเกี่ยวกับการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กและเยาวชนออนไลน์ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาถึงปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการสืบสวนสอบสวนคดีความผิดเกี่ยวกับการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กและเยาวชนออนไลน์ 2) เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรค การสืบสวนสอบสวนคดีความผิดเกี่ยวกับการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กและเยาวชนออนไลน์ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ที่มุ่งเน้นศึกษาผู้ที่มีหน้าที่ในการสืบสวน สอบสวน นักกฎหมาย ในคดีที่ผู้เสียหายเป็นเด็กในคดีออนไลน์ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า จากแบบสัมภาษณ์ทั้งหมด 9 คน โดยมีบทบาทหน้าที่ดังนี้ เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ TICAC จำนวน 5 คน นักจิตวิทยา จำนวน 1 คน พนักงานอัยการ จำนวน 1 คน NGO จำนวน 1 คน และนักสังคมสงเคราะห์ จำนวน 1 คน ปัญหาและอุปสรรค ข้อมูลที่เด็กไม่เต็มใจให้ข้อมูลกับเจ้าหน้าที่เนื่องจากว่าเด็กเป็นผู้เสียหาย เด็กอาย และไม่ต้องการให้เจ้าหน้าที่ทราบหรือให้บุคคลอื่นทราบ ก็จะปกปิดเป็นความลับ และเกี่ยวกับเรื่องของพ่อแม่ผู้ปกครองผู้เสียหายที่ไม่เข้าใจบทบาทของเจ้าหน้าที่ว่าเข้าไปช่วยเหลือ ไม่ได้เปิดเผยข้อมูลแต่ต้องการหาพยานหลักฐานเพื่อจับคนร้ายมาดำเนินคดีตามกฎหมายให้ได้ เพราะไม่งั้นก็จะไปหลอกคนอื่นต่อ และที่เจอเป็นฝั่งของผู้เสียหาย เกี่ยวกับเรื่องของสภาพแวดล้อม และชุมชนของบ้านผู้เสียหาย ซึ่งปัญหาส่วนใหญ่ที่เกิดมาจากปัญหาครอบครัวที่บ้าน ปัญหาภายในครอบครัว และเป็นเรื่องของการเยาว์วัยของฝั่งผู้เสียหายคือสติปัญญาของเด็กยังไม่ก้าวทันภัยในส่วนของคนร้าย และปัญหาของการสืบสวนคือคนร้ายปิดบังอำพรางตัวตน บางทีสามารถขอข้อมูลจากทาง Facebook, Twitter ผู้ให้บริการในประเทศอย่างการขอ IP Address การขอหมายเลขโทรศัพท์มันต้องใช้เวลายุ่งยาก มันทำให้เป็นอุปสรรคในการสืบสวน ข้อเสนอแนะ เน้นในเรื่องของกระบวนการสืบสวนสอบสวนให้ละเอียดรอบคอบอย่างเดียว จะทำให้การประสานงานระหว่างหน่วยงานจะง่ายขึ้น แล้วก็รวดเร็วขึ้น และทุกอย่างให้มองเห็นประโยชน์ของเด็กเป็นสำคัญมากกว่าผลประโยชน์ของหน่วยงานตัวเอง และปัญหาเกี่ยวกับเรื่องของการตรวจ เพราะมาพร้อมกับเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ ปัญหาที่เจอคือเรื่องการตรวจพยานหลักฐานทาง Computer เพราะส่วนใหญ่ผู้ต้องหามีการปิดล็อกพาสเวิร์ดทาง Computer และมือถือทำให้ยากขึ้นตามเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ เจ้าหน้าที่มีความรู้ความเข้าใจอย่างเพียงพอหรือยังที่ต้องเก็บพยานหลักฐานคือให้เจ้าหน้าที่ผู้รับแจ้งมีความรู้มีสกิลในการแนะนำเบื้องต้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเก็บพยานหลักฐาน และกระบวนการยุติธรรมที่เป็นมิตรสำหรับเด็ก ซึ่งมันขยายได้ว่าปัจจุบันมันยังไม่เป็นมิตรสำหรับเด็ก คือกระบวนการสืบสวนสอบสวนมันเหมือนการกระทำซ้ำกับเด็กด้วย พนักงานสืบสวนเองในหลายๆ พื้นที่โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ห่างไกล พื้นที่ที่ยังไม่ค่อยใช้สื่อ Online ตำรวจก็มีข้อจำกัดในการใช้เครื่องมือในการสืบสวน หรือบางแอพตำรวจยังไม่รู้จักเลย บางทีก็มีการใช้ถ้อยคำที่ทำร้ายจิตใจไม่เหมาะสม และการเก็บพยานหลักฐาน และขอเพิ่มเติมข้อเสนอแนะในด้านของกระบวนการยุติธรรมที่เป็นมิตรสำหรับเด็กสำคัญมากในเรื่องความเป็นส่วนตัวแล้ววิธีการในการพูดคุยกับผู้เสียหาย ให้มีการเพิ่มจำนวนพนักงานสอบสวนหญิง แล้วก็พนักงานอัยการผู้หญิง ปัญหาการค้ามนุษย์ ปัญหาปัจจุบันก็ที่เค้าเน้นหนักคือพวกบัญชีม้า เพราะทำให้ไม่สามารถพิสูจน์ทราบได้ว่าใครเป็นคนกระทำความผิดจริง และข้อเสนอแนะไว้เรื่องเกี่ยวกับการเรื่องทางเพศ ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับการปฏิบัติงานในการปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทางเพศ
